  • @CTFxC4 what a twat what a nasty arrogant and hostile thing to say but there thats typical behaviour of a despot American

  • Is that all they can do? A diamond formation? Watch the red arrows for a disply. I fell asleep during this, booorrrrriiing, 'look at me i have and afterburner' my god how pathetic

  • @My20vt ARE YOU ALLOWED TO CARRY SELF-PROTECTION WEAPONS IN THE U.K.??

  • Is that all they can do? A diamond formation? Watch the red arrows for a disply. I fell asleep during this, booorrrrriiing, 'look at me i have and afterburner' my god how pathetic

  • I like these guys......nowwwwwwwww.

  • These pilots are just amazing...

  • dude nice afterburners

  • damn there awsome

  • hey man u in the military cuz i live about 3 miles from ther (p.s GO AMERICA!!)

  • This was an assume video. Keep up the good work for those of us who can't afford or have ways to see this in person. May GOD richly bless you.

  • Excellent!! Makes you feel proud to be an American!!

  • The "Fleche tricolori", the French patrol, or the Red arrows are more impressives

  • Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh WOO HOO! Dover AFB #1, Very Proud USAF brat here, my daddy's base... I remember my dad taking me to see the USAF Thunderbirds all the time when I was a kid, and at 45 I still love them and other aircraft... I was here as well, this time with my then fiance... memories... thanks for posting...

  • a lot of people make mention of this... yes they don't do as dangerous of stunts as many other countries... we also have a lot less dead pilots, A LOT LESS.

Its not about how dangerous you can fly, it about showing off some great flying with some awesome jets. I would rather see the thunderbirds any day then watch a pilot die because they tried something stupid.

  • 5 stars for this video n the pilots

  • hands down ther BEST cant get any Better awesome team

  • Van Halen + Thunderbirds + SONIC BLISS!!!!!!!!!

  • USA!

  • i was here

  • I think the show is good. But I think the RNLAF F16 demo is way better then this.

  • the Birds and the Angels never fail to give me chills up my spine. Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!!

  • @tngldmane I SO AGREE, me too!

  • @lazfird the red arrow are missing one important thing...the afterburner..just cuz the red arrows have colored smoke doesnt mean anything..its not a show without the afterburner...it makes it that much more intense

  • The show gets even better in humid conditions so the condensed vapor trails show :) - And I agrre the afterburner and the 27500 pounds of thrust is what makes the Thunderbirds show better than the Red Arrows.

  • @hawkplaya94 Yea ofcourse, but '' its not a show without the afterburner '' is ofcourse big bullshit, you know that too ;)

  • @reindenaab you dont get a good american feeling of power without it

  • @hawkplaya94 well american, has nothing to do with america, has it? ;)

  • @reindenaab you know us..we love hemis and afterburners

  • @hawkplaya94 speak for yourself The red arrows are a class act and British

  • @hawkplaya94 speak for yourself The red arrows are a class act and British These guys are good and yes I agree the after burner is great but...like the blue angels the red arrows were one of the first god only knows what technology will allow us to see in the near future Id like to see an F35 display team over here

  • @jillh10 f35? that would be awesome!!

  • @hawkplaya94 wouldnt it just? imagine it omg goosebumps lol

  • @hawkplaya94

not to mention the F-16 is a much more incredible machine than the T1A that the the Arrows use, but they still are an impressive team, and I'd LOVE to see them in person.

  • @dmihelic1 , the F16 is a frontline fighter, the hawk is a basic trainer, how can there be any comparison? the red arrows use the hawk for a reason, its light and extremely agile.

  • the red arrwos suck this is thunder brid courty god bless the the 16 and that what planes the thunderbids are flying . go kick ass thunderbrids

  • still red arrows is the best.

  • @lazfird the britesh red arrows are ok but i like the thunderbirds. but who cares we have our own opinoins

  • @trdaredevilclips Indeed and anyone doing stunts like this is cool so they are both good

  • what song is that at 2:38

  • They Performed Here in Guam :],At Andersen AirForce Base in Guam just last Wednesday

  • Ah this is AWESOME!!!!!!! Just watched their air show last weekend here in Malaysia! Was and still am completely BLOWN AWAY and I am feeling downright inspired to get into the flying business now. And I will, hopefully! =)

  • They just finished their airshow here in Hawaii. Today was their last day. Best airshow ever.

  • they will be performing here in sacramento this weekend...CANT WAIT!!!

  • blues and thunder birds are only about power snowbirds are better all around a way more graceful demo

  • go america

  • Great footage nice quaility

  • The F-16 also pulls more G's than the F-18. You go to the Blue Angels and they talk about 7 G's being the Max. Were the Thunderbirds pull 9. So there is much more need for a G-suit with the Thunderbirds.

  • The g load on a thunderbird pilot is much lower for 2 reasons. they wear g suits, and second, the F-16s seat is reclined at 30 degress. Another thing people should keep in mind is this, the F-16 uses a pressure sensitive sidestick which moves barely a quarter of an inch in any direction. this is very hard to control and use precisely, in contrast to the blue angels who have a center stick with a spring and positive directional movement. Much respect to the thunderbirds for this. Keep it in mind

  • I have seen the Red arrows, and the Blue Angels, and the Thunderbirds. all nice stuff. Lots of arguments over who is better. I would say the Arrows, however the point I bring up is that the US teams fly planes that are almost 30% bigger, and faster. a plane meant to serve as a multi role fighter/bomber will probably not perform like a very well designed trainer plane. I think all of these pilots in respect to their aricraft are the best at what they do. Sacrifice manuverability for firepower

  • the thunderbirds are the best only if you saw the in peson you would know

  • i think the blue angels are the best hands down.. although i haven't seen the red arrows in person? i believe the blue angels formations are tighter and the solos push the envelope harder. plus the blues don't wear g- suits... i think people are confused and think all navy pilots don't wear them... just the blue angels do not!

  • I aggree totally with ringhaddy1. Respect to these USAF guys, it's impressive stuff. But once you have seen an RAF Red Arrows display, these guys seem welll...... boring.

  • Neither wear flight suits because it is too risky for them to. The sticks are so sensitive that if the G-suit were to hit the stick the planecould hit a plane in formation. The use the "hick" manuver to deal with the G-load.

  • the tbirds actually do wear g- suits b/c an F-16 the stick is located on the side so they don't have the same problem as the blue angel pilots!

  • Thank you for the correction on my error. You are right. I completly forgot about that.

  • No offense to my US chums but this is kind of ordinary. For a real display watch Steve's Red Arrows over New York video (especially the second half for the faster stuff).

At least we Brits still have the edge on something!

  • Ive seen the Red Arrows, they were based at Republic Airport on Long Island for the airshow they put on in the city and Ive got to say that they were pretty good but I still prefer Thunderbirds/Blue Angels.

  • Navy pilots wear commpression suits

  • Okay. Listen up people. It seems no one here knows anything about aviation. The USAF as well as the USN BOTH use G-suits. It is not a question of "who can take the g's", it is more of a safety issue. Weather your pulling 9 g's or 7, its still a big beating to your body. If you DON'T know what a G-suit does, go look it up.

  • navy pilots do not wear g-suits

  • yea they do

  • I can't wait until the USAF Thunderbirds get the Raptor!!!!!!

  • yea. they are going to be much better than blue angles

  • F-16s are not used on carriers and the blue angels do have to wear g-suits

  • blue angels do not wear g suits, on the navy web site it even says that it would 'impact flight safety' look it up

  • dmanbuff is right because the 18s use fly-by wire they shouldnt pull more than 6g and the blues shouldnt pull 6 g turns for long enough to black out anyway and as the pilots arm rest on his leg the g-suit would move his arm when it inflated, and when your a couple of feet away from other jets you need to keep steady. Although in my op they should they just need to work around the issue eg place an arm rest in the cockpit for the pilots arm instead of using his leg then the g-suit could be used

  • f16s are used on carriers..

  • The Blue angels are better pilots plus navy pilots don't wear g-suits

  • I believe that is because the F-16 is a 9g capable aircraft and can be put into a 9g turn very easily. The F-18 that the Blue angles fly pulls around 7g's

  • Thunderbirds fly faster, closer, and turn harder than the blue angels, not to mention the outdated f/a-18 couldnt take an f-16 g-suits or not

  • very good

  • how do you become a thunderbird?

  • 1st you have to become USAF pilot then have combat experience

  • plus rank correct? have to be at least a certain rank above LT if im not mistaken.

  • awsome

  • bad ass video airshowfansh again may i ad keep em comin thunderbirds rock!!!!!

  • F16's landing gear are too weak for carrier landing

  • no f16isbetter than f18

  • lockheed martin should mod the F16 to make it possible for carrier operation

  • i remmeber watching these guys fly when i was 10 years old at Westover AFB in Chicopee MA.. same things every year..

  • good video

  • the army can't feel this! ; )

  • Search "3 sneak passes"

Blues are better in my opinion. The thunderbirds are fun to watch, but they aren't the Blues, and don't have Fat Albert.

  • The comm chatter over powers the narrator. That's sad

  • I saw the Thunderbirds in Chicoppee Mass. just this year. I love the show. It was my third time seeing them in action. I would say that they are better than the Angels. I respect the Blue Ones but I really enjoy the Thunderbirds. See you guys in 2010 @ Westover Air Reserve Base.

  • The F16 and F18 are equal in performance as far as the armed forces are concerned. When they were both chosen to be their respective services fighters, the air force chose the F16 and the navy chose the F18 and beefed it up for carrier use. There was no true winner between the two in ability. The navy chose the F18 because it had two engines and would be safer to fly over water in case of a flameout. It all comes down to you're own preference. I have seen both in person and love both.

  • thunderbirds rule but blue angels are better in my opinion

  • the blue angels Arent as good.

The Thunderbirds are way fater and can do way more tricks than the F18 Hornet.

    GO THUNDERBIRDS

  • the blue angels are just as good as the thunderbirds i just like them more and the f-18 is faster and more agile than the f-16 id say there equally awesome and its easier to tel once u have seen one team and then the other right after it

  • im going to see them today

  • awesome video

  • Just saw them sunday at the New England Air Show at the Westover ARB in Chicopee, Mass. Excellent show, minus the scary parachute mishap with the Jet truck. The truck went off into the grass field and flipped over. The pilot walked away though. Lucky.

  • Awesome vid! i just saw the Thunderbirds at offut AFB in omaha the other day and theres nothing like seeing them in person

  • that is awesome.

  • they were practicing over my house today and that was cool

  • Do you have a radio? I Keep hearing the Team leader talking over the announcer. Awsome vid and great camera work! I can tell you have seen the 'Birds quite a few times. I love the Thunderbirds, by far my favorite!

  • Great video. Thumbs up to the camera work.Love the T-Birds as much as I love the Blue's.

  • whats the song at 3:00?

  • Yeah, they are performing this weekend in Anchorage Alaska. I'M THERE !!!

AWESOME VIDEO !! by the way !!!

Hey, what kind of camera did you use ??

THe video and the audio sounds REALLY good !

  • Great video and good camera work! Love the Thunderbirds, and it's nice to see there are still people out there as fascinated by aircraft and airshows as I am.

  • Man i can't wait till this weekend they are up here in Anchorage,Alaska

  • i saw them in fairbanks a couple days back

  • whats the song in the beginning

  • its the USAF's theme song. every branch has one.

  • I know that... I mean the one after that

  • Kick Start My Heart by Motley Crue

  • very cooool!!!!!!!!!

  • i live in colorado near the airforce academy and for graduation they perform for the students so every year i get a free show. even tho their the airforce pilots i think the blue angels are better but their fun to watch.

  • Dam #6's ab is soo clear during the split S

  • i love them

  • Hi casey!!!

  • the thunder birds are incredible and amazing

  • The music they play is "Off we go, into the While Blue Yonder - flying high...." It's the Air-force song! The Air-Force hymn is also beautiful; possibly you can type that into the 'search window' - someone might have recorded it for some event.

  • That'd be "the WILD blue yonder"...

    ;^D

I have a pre-9/11 picture of the Thunderbirds with NYC & WTC in the background... It hangs in a place of honor with the flag that was taken on missions out of Balad by my brother (the LtC USAF pilot) that he gave me when he got back from his second tour in Iraq...

  • I enjoy going to the airshows. i been to many and i go there to see the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels perform. I have high respect for the men and women who operates these aircrafts because it takes time and patience to fly like this. Nice work and keep it up =).

  • the thunder birds and the blue angels will rule the sky forever

  • Kickstart my Heart von Mötley Crüe

  • whats the title of the song they played at 00:50 onward until the guy was done with the outside loop?

  • lol

  • wrong the red arrows have been proven to be the most technical the only good thing the thunder birds do id fly closer and perhaps a tad faster but i do love the team as it happens(why dis the red arrows every team is good in thier own art

  • You've got some of the best Thunderbirds video I've ever seen and I've been going to airshows since 1957. Very impressive camerawork and I doesn't looke like you're using any sort of image-stabilization yet you keep the Thunderbirds centered and the video smooth. Great Stuff! Thanks for sharing it with us!

  • this is the 2nd best thing you can do in the USAF the 1st is to fly the F-22

  • I love the USAF anthem

  • I remember see that show! It was awesome!

  • i love them, but blue angels and the patrouille de france are also good, it's a shame that we in Beglium do not have a stunt team. btw my dad is a F16 pilot.

  • Way to go for your dad! You don't have to be a Thunderbird to be a hero.

  • The red arrows ain't all that the thunder birds are still the best.

  • i still prefer Red Arrows. But.. Thunderbirds.. keep it up. =D

  • Awesome, as usual. Did you catch the solo pilot / wingman's correction at 24:46?

  • yes and y don't you try that its not an easy walk in the park

  • I called them "awesome" and pointed out the pilot's ability to stay in formation while correcting his path. Not sure why this would make you defensive of them, but whatever.

  • Nice display. I saw them in Sigonella. But the Italian team is muchmore daring and spectacular.

  • This show never gets boring.

  • 5:46 vladamir putin

  • anybody tell me there show song that they play pre show and after?

  • Take off is "Wild Blue Yonder" (U.S. Air Force anthem), and I'm 97% sure the post-show music is "American Fanfare" by John Williams

  • no like you know the famous thunderbirds theme they always have playing before they even taxi and afterward

  • oh that one. I know what you're talking about, but I have no clue.

  • ok thanks

  • nuttin like it man!

  • Sounds like David Cross on the loudspeakers. Lol, Thunderbirds are sweet though

  • I don't think so

  • I've see them in Belle Chasse, LA. Great show, the F-16 can do things the F/A-18 Hornets can't do as well. The pilots just like the Blue Angels pilots are real class acts: super friendly people; love to meet next year's team and see the show.

  • I watched them at Nellis AFB on Saturday. They we're AMAZING! They had everyone in tears during the missing man.

  • The thunderbirds can do anything ans their next show is at Nellis AFB AND THEY PUT ON A good show^^^^^^^^

  • Great video!

  • Saw them at Moody AFB in Valdosta Georgia on 10/20/2007 by accident. Didn't even know they were there. We were in Valdosta to go "Wild Adventures" and saw on a bulletin board at Wal-Mart that they were at the base. COOL!!!!

  • not as good as the red arrows stveve uk

  • Seen them a couple weeks ago here at their last show at Pope AFB - Fort Bragg, NC. GREAT show!!!

  • "Seen them a couple weeks ago here at their last show at Pope AFB - Fort Bragg, NC. GREAT show!!!"

Not their LAST LAST show correct ?

  • Their last show here at Pope AFB. They won't be returning here :(

  • I was at the miramar air show today with my family, but had to go to work before the thunderbirds did their thing. I later found out that my boss wouldn't have cared much if I decided to call in late, I'm pissed I didn't get to see this.

  • i saw them on saturday. did you notice they chose neil diamond for a flat show.

  • i saw the thunder bird perform today an yesterday! becaus there is n air show today in california san diego at location of the mcas miramar show, whoo hoo!!!

  • so did i, they beat the blue angels.

  • i only got to see a low show on saturday

  • THUNDERBIRDS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!

  • hey they flew over my house on the sunday of miramar

  • that was cool i seen the thunderbirds in '98 or '99 i was outside of the base heh i got buzzed by one of them

  • But i hate the 80's music in the background

  • I like the Thunderbirds better then the Blue angles

  • The Thunderbirds might be better than the Blue Angels because the F-16 is more capable than the F-18. But the Blue's paint job certainly wins.

  • The F/A-18 Hornets can do things the F-16 Fighing Falcon can not do

  • NASA had devoloped a way for the f-16 to do a high alpha just like the hornet. and the f-18s lack variety than thunderbirds do. blue angels do better in their diamond formation and landing configurations, how about this when you see the hornets sneak pass very low it's quieter and about the same speed. but the f-16 can do it in full afterburner and you wont see it coming.

  • the thunderbirds are the best???

  • red arrows better

  • Impressive video but if you haven't been to an airshow with a modern demonstration team then you haven't seen anything.

I recommend everyone to attend one. You are not only treated to a visual show but the sound thunders through you...eeehaaa!

  • How come Bulvie13 is allowed to make highly offensive and quite frankly idiotic comments about the UKs contribution to WW2? When I make a perfectly justified response my comment is removed?? Whats going on????

  • saintSuze your an idiot. The Thunderbirds and Blue Angels can fly circles around your precious RAF and Red Arrows. I've seen the RAF in person...they are "yawning" material. If it wasn't for people like my grandfather, a flyboy in WWII you limey britts would be speaking german and goose stepping right now. So, until your people can produce things other than the Austen Marin and brittish comedies like Benny Hill, I suggest you not criticize the mighty Thunderbirds of the United States.

  • That was probably some of the most inaccurate crap i have ever heard in my life. I dont care what that guy said to you but dont you ever take it upon yourself to demean any WW2 veteran. Have you ever heard of the legendary Battle of Britain? If it was not for those brave pilots, ground crews, and steel-willed civilians America would not even have a proper launching point for a D-day to even take place! Think about what you said please and refrain from dropping to that level.
