  • omg a hellraiser..Hellraisers FTW

  • This is fail compared to Jeff Loomis's

  • Nice Loomis lick at the very end of the video lol.

  • What wasn't easy? Surely he wasn't talking about anything in this video?

  • what john played in this vid was easy.

  • lol, accautly yeah that's pretty easy

  • honestly try to play the intro to "miles of machines" by jeff loomis, thats finger twisting bull shit..alternate sweep picking is harder than up&down ascending scales...

  • what band is jon mac in

  • TELEPHONES ARE EASY

  • 0:42... foreign guys on the right, wtf?

  • @g00glemast3r

    where is mark rizzo from?

  • som of the greatest songs ever written are the easiest to play. By the way who said that something has to be really difficult to play to be good? Honestly I have never heard someone say that in all my years.

  • @therockhouse yeah i know that. i didnt say it was bad i was just thinkin it was funny how they kinda exagerate how hard it is. its comical. chill out.

  • actually "that" is pretty easy. haha

  • that guy is so fuckin lame!!!!!!!!!!! its not fair that half the people on youtube would smoke this dude an hes makin instructional videos! my lil bro jus started playin an got one of his videos an its fukin weak dude! even for beginners!! Laaaaaame!!!!!!!!

  • lolz at the chromatic ascending major sweeps. i dont want to do that. its sloppy and doesn't sound good. this guys needs to get his left hand and right hand in sync.

  • eww, make a kiko one! hes the best guy your guys have gotten so far.

  • @PaulGilbertIsGod2 he already has one look for it

  • @Lubial I own the rockhouse creative fusion one. I mean a kiko video where they do this.

  • Errghh..

Rockhouse.. you should use the Jeff Loomis one... XD

  • I don't think the tone in this video does this guy any justice. Sounds a bit too thin to me. Technique-wise he's sound.

  • somebodys sloppy

  • It ain't John that's for sure

  • @therockhouse it is... it just is... please dont lie to us

  • haha, the dude looks more impressed by McCarthy than Loomis

  • I was thinking the same thing. LOL Jeff Loomis FTW

  • @TheHorrorInside he's got to over react so that way McCarthy doesnt sound like shit compared to Loomis

  • @TheHorrorInside That's just because Loomis played so fast, the guy didn't even have the time to process it.

  • lol...wtf???hahaha

  • lol

  • Jphn was my first teecher. He is good to learn from

  • what model schecter is John playing? i'm thinking of saving up for a Hellraiser C-1 but I'm just curious to what John plays

He trained these guys to teach: Alexi Laiho, Jeff Loomis, Michael Paget, Alex Skolnick, Eric Peterson, Leo Nocentelli, Kiko Loueiro, David Ellefson, Oli Herbert, the list goes on check the web site., He writes & appears on instructional products offered by Peavey, Washburn, SX, Ovation, Silvertone, Ibanez . 750,000 beginners learned with him last year.Sounds influential to me!

  • Okay... I'll definately kill him to get his guitar :D

  • Love the lead guitar DVD. I saw the short peice on sweeps on your youtube and had to buy it. I learned more from that 3 minute clip than I have watching hundreds of other youtube lessons. John McCarthy truly tought me how to sweep.

  • I love your operation, I love what you guys are doing, and I hope to see more of your products around where I live.

I got Hands of Steel and Learn Rock Guitar and it has helped me tremendously. I cannot afford lessons but John McCarthy is an excellent teacher anyway! I've learned so much in 1 year with your DVDs.

Thanks so much and keep doing what you guys are doing! Believe me, people out there are so thankful!
