Now these guys were pretty handy with the bow so when they were captured, the guys doing the capturing would cut off those two fingers as they were the ones the bowmen used to pull back the string. Rendering the bowman useless. So bowmen would give the 2 fingers up to enemies to show that they still had them and therefore were still a danger to the enemy force. or thats what ive been told anyways.
