So RW just signed a 5 year max extension, worth 80 mil. I just read an article on espn where everybody get's crazy about Russ. I really don't get what's wrong with him. He's a 23 years old ALL Star, ALL NBA 2nd TEAM, one of the hardest working guys in the league and a top 5 pg right now, never missed a single game since in 6 years and he wants nothing more than win!

He will shine and the Thunder are winning BECAUSE of him and not DESPITE him!

OKC really has great fans. but i can't help feel like they're really getting spoiled. I mean brand new team, and they are already in playoffs in year 2. contenders by year 3. be interesting to see how they support the team, through a long playoff drought.

@chefawkes We understand how special it is to have a professional sports team here because we never had one until recently. I think a lot of the larger markets lose sight of that sometimes. I just hope OKC never takes it for granted in the future.

@chefawkes The Thunder did not simply arrive at OKC to be a contender. The first season in OKC for the franchise was less than stellar and the games still sold out. I don't foresee this being a problem here in Oklahoma City. We appreciate the team not because they happen to win but because of the things they do which allow them to win. It's the character of the organization that this city identifies with, and as long as it continues, so will unwavering support from true OKC fans.

The passion of the fans is undeniable. So i wouldn't be surprised if the support is still there even after 5 straight losing seasons. I'm just saying you guys haven't really been tested yet.
