  • ive rode ths be4, its reallly fun i was about 8 or 9 and rode it like 4 or 5 times! its not really tht scarry & the best part is the beginning wen it starts going really fast!!! but i think its reeeeaaaally scarry how theres only a little bar across your knees 2 hold u in..... :o

  • When a park closes how many rides get scrapped. Or why do they just leave them there to rust and rot. There are plenty of people I the construction business that need jobs to take them down and plenty of amusement parks that could use an extra ride or two. Unless your six flags magic mountain or cedar point of course lol.

  • @mynightmarexxx1000 When Six Flags Astroworld closed in mid 2000's.. seemed like half of the rides were scrapped and the other half of the rides went elsewhere.

  • i hope they keep this for bluegrass boardwalk

  • do you ever scream ? or even get scared ?

  • Ah

  • is this Kennywood's former Laser Loop?

  • @rjn4250 no, this was Tidal Wave at SFGAm

  • That ride looked like it sucked horribly.

  • Slow version of MONTEZOOMAS REVENGE at KBF

  • Wow this was the Viper at SFOG !! I too remember that Clanging noise as the train left and came back. HOLD YOUR EARS!!

  • lol they have one here at knotts berry farm fun as hell

  • thats like boomerang in mexico

  • what is the scariest ride youve ever been on?

  • I rode this when it was Tidal Wave at SFGA. Towards the end of its time there the queue line was real short so I was able to ride four or five times in a matter of about 20 minutes before I got bored. And I'll never forget the clanging noise when you took off and stopped. A short ride but a fun one.

  • This is like montezoomas revenge at knotts berry farm

  • Was this part of the Six Flags Family?

  • @userwizard234 Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom was a Six Flags park from 1998 to 2009.

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom so what happened to it

  • @legomasterman1854 Six Flags decided to pull out of their lease & the park closed after the 2009 season, but now the owners of Holiday World plan to open the park again & will call it Bluegrass Boardwalk.

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom will rides be renamed?

  • @batman91195 Most likely, but you never know...

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom what do you think T2 should be renamed?

  • Looks exactly like Montezooma's Revenge at knott's :D

  • Funnnnn ride so fun for first time loopers

  • is this the old "tidal wave" from six flags great america?

  • Thats a reeaaalllly short ride. :/

  • this was Originally built for Astroworld in Houston...I rode the lell outa that thing..It was moved , as the majority of the rides at Astroworld (Six Flags Company), when it closed doors. Sad day but good to see Old Grease Lightnin still lives to shut another Park down..lol

  • Any difference between flywheel and weight launch type, when it comes to giving riders a pretty strong push into the seat? My body got freezed on the ride I wasn't even able to raise my arms. :O

  • wow this is crazy

  • that roller coaster looks sooo corny

  • That ride i would def do but it kinda sucked tho haj

  • montazoomas revenge

  • @Sokobansolver it's not anything anymore it shut down

  • IT IS NOT SIX F(L)AGS ANYMORE! CHANGE THE TITLE!

  • kinda like vertical velocity in six flags great america (chicago) but vertical velocity is so much better

  • this ride is a waist of your time all it dose is a loop then the same loop backwards ohhh how fun (she said in a sarcastic way)

  • we need a six flags in pittsburgh!!

  • not as good a iron bru at blackpool pleasure beach..!!!!!!

  • @xSlimXbaconx No, it's a Vekoma giant inverted boomerang but Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's Berry Farm is a Schwarzkopf flywheel launcher. FYI - there are no weight drop & flywheel launchers, it's either one or the other. ;D

  • This ride is still standing, I stayed in a hotel next to the park, and almost all of the rides are still there. -_- It's depressing.

  • Probably a stupid question, but why did Kentucky close? And what do they do with all the coasters now..tear down?

  • @Flutelover2013 Six Flags owned the park & decided to close it down after removing a couple of the newer coasters, including Chang (which is now the Green Lantern coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey). Now Ed Hart is trying to work with the city of Louisville & the Kentucky State fair to reopen the park. We have a topic about this in the News & Rumors section of the Forums on our website, if you want to know more about it.

  • kentucky park is closing???!!!!

  • @PerfectDressageGirl Kentucky Kingdom closed two years ago.

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom whaaat? is it still open

  • ahh viper from sfog! there you are :(

  • @ljh619 - It is Viper, but its closed now.

  • This is like montazoomas revenge

  • Oh its a Montezooma clone.

  • @1ynnf Not completely. This one has a weight drop launch, compared to Montezooma's flywheel launch system.

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom Oh, ok thanks!

I wanted to be sure. >.<

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom when you say weight drop dies the word describe itself ?

  • @thedimeckks Yes. There is a heavy weight at the top of the front tower that drops to launch the coaster forward.

  • i thought this was Greased Lightning from Astroworld. I rode a coaster exactly like this one, colour and all there.

  • @woemcat Greased Lightning from Astroworld was sold to Joyland Amusement Park in Lubbock, Texas & is currently in storage. Hopefully they'll rebuild it again soon.

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom Was the one at Astroworld a Schwarzkopf like this too? I rode Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's--my lord that kicks the snot out of a Vekoma boomerang any day! (rode the Boomerang there too--it takes a LOT for me to hate a coaster but man that ride sucks!)

  • @zookeychan The one at Astroworld was a flywheel launch, the same type as Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's.

  • haha this was my first roller coaster ever!!

  • so the rollercoasters and the chicken in kentucky is greased???

  • thats it.....

  • like montezoomas revenge

  • i miss these roller coaster so much. cant wait untell it reopen next year :)

  • The exact design as Montezumas revenge

  • @12rollercoasterfreak Same builder too--Anton Schwarzkopf --basically considered the Da Vinci of coaster builders--his rides are classic (look up Olympia Looping--world's largest traveling coaster and one of his crowning achievements :-) )

  • This is the same as Montisumas ReVenge at KBF in buena park CA

  • just like the flashback a six flags new england

  • @MrSnapplesauce No, it's a completely different type of coaster & is nothing like a Vekoma boomerang. This is a Schwarzkopf coaster that has no lift hill because it launches. It also doesn't have a cobra roll like Flashback & it's a much smoother ride.

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom ya, but its the same concept sorta

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom a good old-fashioned shuttle loop. Was this formerly Tidal Wave from Great America, the shuttle loop from Astroworld, or is this an original placement?

  • @chimayai Yes, it was Tidal Wave & then became Viper at Six Flags Over Georgia before moving a second time to Kentucky Kingdom.

  • @wwwCOASTERFORCEcom nice! I only rode Tidal Wave once (in 1978, I think). was a great ride. Great videos!

  • Kentucky Kingdom is like, the absolute worst amusement park ever. I hate it so much.

  • thats probably one of the most boring rides ive seen.... is that all it is a little loop then your done??lol most normal roller coasters have like 2-5 loops

  • @harritaco It's very intense. The G-force is strong, and if you sit in back, at the end of the ride you end up looking almost straight down. The feel of the ride is more exciting than just the view.

  • @harritaco lol. I see where you're coming from, but this type of coaster is classic, and its a lot more intense than it looks. Trust me.

  • this park was shut down D:

  • This was called Viper at Six Flags Over Georgia.

  • I hate it when they put the brakes on as you're going through the station in reverse. Most parks do it and they don't need to. Knott's in California has never done it and, even in the front seat, you get serious airtime on that backwards ramp. Having reverse brakes takes 50% of the fun out of the ride. Viva Knott's Berry Farm!

  • @crazee4mm I agree, on Wicked Twister at Cedar Point you actually accelerate when you're coming back through the station

  • @crazee4mm woo hoo!

  • @crazee4mm :DDD MONTEZUMAS REVENGE FTW!!!

  • turbine in belgium is better cuz its mostly indoor

  • The same as Turbine in Walibi Belgium.

  • In Brazil we have Katapul! And i simply LOVE this coaster.

  • what a remake of montezumas revenge

  • @elpololoco35 It's not a remake. They both were built & opened at the same time (1978), only this one moved from Six Flags Great America to Six Flags Over Georgia before it ended up at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. However neither of them were the 1st Schwarzkopf shuttle loop coasters. The first ones opened in 1977 at Carowinds, Kings Dominion & California's Great Adventure. I rode White Lightning at Carowinds the year it opened.

  • To the haters, this thing was built back in 1978 so just calm down, its pretty good for being a steel that old with a loop.

  • no it wasnt i went there the day it opened when i was i middle school, im ni college now...

  • @yomom4202 it was moved from six flags great america, where it was known as tidal wave.

  • @xevilwalksx i thought it was deja vu

  • @Chattervideos Nope, Dejavu was an entirely different coaster that would break down all the time, i dont recall where it is now but i think it was moved to the east coast.

  • @xevilwalksx deja vu i think is in magic mountain

  • @bennnyboy1231 Thats a different deja vu.

  • @xevilwalksx when the tidal wave was removed, the original Batman: the Ride was built in its place as the world's first looping inverted roller coaster.

  • great ride

  • that ride looks gay.

  • @pavehawk10 how so? i don't see it having sex with other coasters of the same model.

  • my first looping coaster!

  • How tall do you have to be to ride this ride?

  • Gayyy

  • Just like Montezumas revenge at knotts, but the one at knotts looks like it goes faster and looks higher at the last part be4 you return to the station... (just sayin)

  • Comment removed

  • @Zondry95 it would be a nice replacement but nothing could ever replace The Big Bad Wolf

  • Yeah but if it was, but then it would have to have a different name

  • R.I.P. SFKK:( And this was my first looping roller coaster too

  • @Coasterfreakboyman01 why did they close it?

  • R.I.P. Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom ):

  • i rode this in 2004 and loved it! rode it 8 times in a row.... miss it so much..

  • The Turbine in Belgium is closing :(

  • sucks kentucky is closing :(

  • @love4knex yea, but six flags already replaced kentucky with great adventure.

  • @love4knex - Kentucky Kingdom closed its doors 3 years ago.

  • The Mayor is getting involved to try and keep SFKK open, but Six Flags is in such a hurry to leave that they have already taken down most of the stuff.

  • we have one like this in mexico city at La Feria de Chapultepec... it is named "cascabel" (rattlesnake)

  • wonder what will happen to all the rides at SFKK

  • @chobo500 From what I've heard is that they belong to the Kentucky State Fair, from who Six Flags leased the park grounds from.

  • oh man that stuff freaks me out

  • rollercoasters? how come?

  • not all rollercoasters, just the ones that look like your gonna fly right off

  • oh i see.

so all the non-complete circuit coasters

  • @rollercoasterfan97 indeed.

  • Cool video.
