I started not liking this game the camera angle made it hard or maybe it was the controls I can't remember... All I know is when i got into it I LOVED it then it topped off with a great story and this ending song... it's so soft and beautiful

i remember this game.....the storylines just blew me away, also the characters and missions, and at the end this song came up :'(.... made me want to carry on with the game 4ever..... i live in london so i sumtyms check the getaways locations

I loved how both Dc Carter's and Hammond's stories both tied together. But I think I preferred being Dc Carter because of the Special Reinforcement back-ups through alot of the missions which made it more realistic.

I hope if "The Getaway 3" is released, it will keep all of those brilliant things from the first GETAWAY. Hope they will not screw a legend just for being more popular. People who played "The Getaway" expect something different, than the next clone of GTA. That game is so special and it should stay like that. I would be very glad, if they returned to Mark Hammond as the main character. I bet not only me :)

They're not stupid, its just that they didn't expect the Getaway 3 to cost as much to produce as they originally thought it would. Simply put, they ran out of money.

This music sounds very sad. Sometimes, I would think of it. It makes me kind of feel sad. This is the saddest music I have ever heard. This sounds like a theme for the death of a person or a farewell of a person, or, anything else sad.

I get that feeling when I hear this theme too. I think it sounds like that because it supposed to represent the tragic events that happened throughout the game. Like how Mark's wife was murdered and he was forced to go back into a lifestyle he thought he had quit (and didn't want to be a part of anymore)to avenge his wifes death.

This music definitely has alot of sorrow. I would think of it too. Saddest track in UK. This should sound like a theme when a circuit racer beats the legendary racer in the Championship, his life becomes better until a news reporter states to him that his best friend has died of a serious painful disease that the racer's girlfriend sacrificed him during the serious pain.

Game was fantastic, yet highly under-rated for its time. Era of GTA. Seen as a copy-cat, but it was in a world of its own. I gladly played it multiple times.

yea, i enjoyed the getaway as well. the driving missions was a pain in the butt, but i loved the on-foot ones and gunfights. and its a shame the oslo morning techno/dance track isn't available. i think it played during the dc carter missions....great track!!!! i wish i had it on my ipod!

I loved the one mission (I can't remember, because I don't have my PS2 anymore or The Getaway for that matter, which makes me very sad.) where it took place in China town as Dc Carter. And when you're underground and you're being shot by multiple enemies then the special re-enforcements come in and start wiping the floor with the Jamaicans. Or all the police stationed outside the China town fighting with the Chinese, made it so realistic.

Actually, this track is called "Oslo Morning", and can be found on the album "Strings and Things" by Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra. It is available to buy from iTunes. Other tracks from that album that appear on the game are "The Message, Pt. 3" and "Gerrard Street",

Well you see, you can't find MP3's for these because they don't exist. I've got this double ended 3.5 mm jack where one end goes in the line in on the computer, and the other end goes in the headphones socket on the tv. So you just play normally on the tv screen and the music plays through the computer speakers.
