  • Where can you get gaskets for the bottom of these carbs? Can you use a washer instead? Can't seem to find the gaskets...their almost like paper.

  • @MrMikeinwi u can get them at a small engine shop

  • Dude, you the man, thanks to your videos I fixed a tecumseh and a briggs carb for free !!!

  • @bullikins awesome dude!

  • @SuperZalan make sure to subscribe

  • We have the same motor and the linkages are messed up. I can tell because the throttle starts at wide open and the mechanic thought it governed down, but I can see you are adjusting the throttle and its affecting the carb without any governor action. Can you help me find a picture of how the linkages are supposed to be? I was ready to scrap the job. ..Dan Thanks, too

  • @donyboy73 In its natural state not connected, not running, etc. does the throttle spring on the carb keep the throttle at the idle position or WOT? I think our new carb is starting at WOT; any ideas why this would be? Looks like you are down on the idle screw.. If I'm missing any linkage parts do you have those? Thanks.

  • @fallguy100000 i think it's idle but i would have to look again

  • @donyboy73 You are right, I finally found it on your #2 video somewhere between 3:50 and 4:00, sorry to bother you, but I didn't catch it until I watched several times.

Thanks a bunch for posting, we were ready to scrap the motor. If I need linkage parts; are they available through you?

  • @fallguy100000 check ur local shop but if u need one I have used parts

  • It may be just me but I would've also cleaned the exterior also. I like dipping my carberators in a gallon of Berryman Carberator Cleane r. It's essentially a one gallon tin paint can with a basket. It works great. Submersing the entire carberator in carb cleaner ensures that any old gasoline residue is disolved and your carberator cleaned in and out.

  • do you buy after market or actuall tecumseh parts?

  • @1968tecumsehman i stock actual Tecumseh Parts

  • I have a generator with a Tecumseh engine on it and has never been run since buying it. I tried to start it once, but it did not start so I parked it for 10 years.

  • have any idea what carb kit i need for a bvs 153? thank you. good vid. i reckon you are making the jet bigger with the needle though

  • Great Video! Rebuilt my carb. and it runs great! After I shut it off it leaks gas out of the air intake?? Any Ideas what I've done wrong?

  • @thedilsavers check the float to make sure it doesn't have gas in it. replace the needle and seat and make sure float is adjusted right

  • where would a get the plastic housing where you hook up the fuel line to the carb

  • @monsterman21897 u could get the connector at a small engine shop or on ebay.

  • Very informative. Thanks!

  • Runs good man ! thumbs up !

  • Thanks. Always enjoy your videos and learn something new.

  • where do you get those tecumseh parts from? dealer?

  • @Smallgasengine1 ebay mostly, cheaper than dealer

  • I was wonder why you didn't remove the welch plugs when you cleaned and rebuilt the carb?

  • @acscolo i only remove it when the carburetor is corroded
