i think that dexters' father is a major part of his life. in a round about; he is really talking to himself. and talking to his father he realizes why he most kill these people. even thou he knows he is a serial killer, he needs a purpose or reason which he gets this from his father.

They are using harry too much in my opinion, I don't like the scenes where he is there talking sense into dexter, it's way too cheezy to watch dexter talk to an imaginary man for me

over all Dex plays well the rules of the society... as father did theach him...as a kind of a USA model citicen... no matter... who cares?

I thing that thats a reality... meanwhile he does his duty, with the society, no body cares what he does in hes leisure time... Thas like it works it all... the serie is telling us that we can do as we like...if IFFF we are a model citizens.
