@jelliena Uh...technically. Not sure if it's THE Starscream considering Beast Wars is riddled with characters with names based on previous characters. Also...why are there vehicle predacons in this anyway? Isn't the whole Beast Wars theme that they all had animal alt-modes? True there were the vehicons(who might as well been just called Decepticons) in Beast Machines but that was after this so it is made moot.

I am completely happy that North America got the Cgi version. An anime woulda been nice if the writers were the same as the NA version of the Wars saga and if the action was more...abrupt, like if the violence was on the same lvl as G.Wing or Escaflowne.

People judge the CGI beast wars too quickly (without watching the entire show of course), yet they'll accept this kid-friendly poor quality anime series instead.

The CG beast wars a serious show and killed off important characters while connecting to the original G1 series. It's also because of the japanese shows which confuses transformers lore in terms of the time after the Pax Cybertronia was signed. I hate this series and Beast Machines for ruining what Beast Wars was really about.

If your talking about the BWII english dub then i do agree, but thats mainly because it was a fan dub by TFcog (I think their still at episode 6) and yeah you're about BWII starscream <=L at least his voice is sorta cool.

I have seen the whole Beast Wars franchise but honestly, I don't see 2D series being any inferior to CGI series except the fact that they are not CGI

but I do agree with you that Beast Machines was a crap that should never have existed

@syuku777 You've misunderstood me. I in no way hate on 2D, in fact I often prefer it over 3D animation. In my opinion, many of the anime Transformers are of very poor quality in not just animation but in writing (ie: beast wars II and Neo).

Besides, when they "brought Dinobot back" it wasn't technically him- it was just a robot/cone Megatron built to replicate him. His death wasn't the only great one; Depth Charge's death was very meaningful as his revenge against Rampage became his own demise.

@Luminak As much as I agree, the writers of the original beast wars were just winging the plot line. They never really watched the original transformers thoroughly and some of the connections were just coincidence.

Both beast wars II and Neo were aimed at kids, so it's not rare that the writing in general is more kid friendly than Beast wars and beast machines, still, both series weren't that bad and have their good moments (In Neo, Unicron appears once again)

Well, Beast Wars II was aired in Japan just due to the fact that they didn't get Beast Wars Season 2 yet, guys. And so here we have it!

All using repaints of US molds with 2 new molds outta Lio Convoy/Leo Prime and Galvatron.

I believe there was a couple more exclusive molds used in this series, but yes most of these were unused Maximal/Predacon figures from the first Beast Wars line and repainted G2 figures. This and Beast Wars Neo was to fill in time in Japan while Mainframe finished Beast Wars seasons 2 and 3 in which the Japanese put together and called it Beast Wars Metals.
