Gears of War 1 was 1000x better than the second. I hate it when something amazing is made and the people who made it attempt a sequel, and instead of realizing that everything about the first was great, they attempt to change (and therefore fuck up) everything about it. The introduction of new, stupid and random characters (like some Samoan guy and a redneck) and the bad gameplay, with the damages of all guns and therefore the technique that everyone was used to, was what ruined it for me.

I admit Gears 1 had great gameplay but it was a little slow, in Gears 2 a better campain and story but the multiplayer was a bit messy but then faster and smoother than the first (without the lag any ways). But my point is Gears 2 was not a horrible game, I played the first game and its the same but in 2 like I said before its faster and smoother. You guys have to look pass the lag, stop bitching about it and just play the game.

Put gears 2 on, roadie run, you can tap the trigger all day but as long as you hold the A button, you will keep running. You must stop, wait 2 seconds, then you can fire. Very lethargic, no rhythm. Similar with sniper. You have to aim, then wait about 2 seconds to get a straight shot. No pop shots basically.
