excelente grupo y cancion y lo mejor esque porfin pusieron idioma sordo mudo, el video un poco freaky pero es bueno mas que bueno es artistico surrealista!!!
Oh wow..I forgot how good this video was...You can keep all the shite that is in the charts these days..Most people wouldnt know good music if it jumped out of a can of Red Bull and did a little dance...Kids need to be educated on 80's music at school...
OMGi looked for tis far and wide and now i found it thx for the post it brings back serious memories for me some good some bad but new order brought me through it all good to have found it here thx for posting cheers peace and love to all :)
When I was a very small boy, very small boys talked to me. Now that we've grown up together, their afraid of what they see. Thats the price that we all pay.
The songs about growing up and discovering you're a homosexual and your friends abandoning you.
no, it was about drugs.... the original lines were stg like "now that we've grown up together, they're all taking drugs with me", but it was considered too strong, that's why the change to "afraid of what they see"
(but they did perform the first version live sometimes)
@realTHK Well you learn something new everyday. a friend of mine who is FLAMING, insisted that this was a song about being gay as an adolescent. If what you say is true, I can sent him an e-mail that he was wrong all these years.
no...directed by philippe decoufle. However, i didn't know that too and wondered also, because it really looks like the work of some demented mind like Terry's :)
You have all information about the song on wikipedia. cheers
MY FAVE SONG OF ALL TIME! I thought this was about heroin. I feel so extraordinary because u are a drug that brings me near !! I <3 Bernard Sumner♥♥ I need a time machine !!
from wikipedia "...The video has often been voted amongst the best music videos of its year...". Ignorante, informati prima, erano gli anni 80, non c'era la computer graphic...
@redpeter66 ma sei proprio un stronzo - I know it was the 80s - and current videos (with fancy computer graphiics) are still pretty bad. io sono informato - sei TU che non capisci un cazzo. go back to school and this time try to stay awake in class.
Rozzo e volgare canadese
@TheIdentCritic maybe, but I remember New Order once said it was about coming down from ecstacy (which they admit enjoying "more than once")and also about the memories of childhood and how ecstacy brought on that innocent, child feeling again. Wasn't as "aggressive" or "traumatic" as heroin...
@msynman maybe, but I remember New Order once said it was about coming down from ecstacy and alsoabout the memories of childhood and how ecstacy brought on that innocent, child feeling again. Wasn't as "aggressive" or "traumatic" as heroin...
So I've long been curious: is the woman doing the sign language interpreting the lyrics word for word, or at least like they normally would be interpreted? Anyone know? hehe
Don't sweat it, JinEfeet. There's so many songs about drugs and I love a great number of them. My kids are convinced that every other song from the 60's is about LSD or grass.

I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
I don't care 'cause I'm not there
And I don't care if I'm here tomorrow
Again and again I've taken too much
Of the things that cost you too much
