Those things can be mean as heck, there are a few 700hp cars running around now.
Why the side mount intercooler? For a built car like that i would think that an A2W or trunk mount would be installed? Otherwise the car looks built to race!
@TexasAceAA the owner didnt want to cut the trunk, so he just got a bigger side intercooler. The car definitely built to race. Dyno numbers coming soon
@Supa89 Makes sense. But i would REALLY consider an Air to water intercooler. That SMIC will be the miniting factor on that car, i have the same IC and i see intake temps over almost 200 degrees at low boost after a pull.
An A2W IC will keep temps down below 100 degrees if done right and will not cut up the trunk.
WELL worth the money for the A2W if going for more then ~300hp - 400hp.

it made 800hp? i find that hard to belive, the record for the highest HP mr2 ever is 815hp.
Either way, an A2W setup would allow for more power ot be made easily and safer. just a suggestion, the SMIC is by far the most limiting factor on an MR2 vs other turbo cars.
