  • My guess would be Berlin 89. There are keyboards on this. Not a great version IMHO. It doesn't have the impact of the original.

They dropped it because Stuart struggled to sing and play it at the same time. On this, he isn't playing much while he's singing. On the Steeltown tour in autumn 84 they played it as per the recording & Stuart had a helluva tough time with it, but I thought it was more effective done that way.

  • I've got a bootleg of Peace in Our Time Tour at Edinburgh Playhouse January 1989 and they played East of Eden . Went to see them at Barrowland In February 1989 and they'd dropped it from the set list

  • @bfw1969 That was a bad move on the band's part....I always wished they played this track live more often! Mie Peters does a good job on it but the Adamson version, obviously, is the best!

  • That's one of the BEST live versions I've ever heard...thanks for posting!! Any idea what tour that was taken from? Sounds like it was in the 90's.

  • @BigCountryJASon The bootleg said from 89 Jason, Although it doesn't sound like other live stuff from that era cos they used a lot of keyboards then.

  • @Porrohman1971 You're right about the keyboard....I would have guessed the early 90's (maybe 92)....anyways, THANKS for sharing...keep 'em coming!
