  • Anyone know the song at 4:00?

  • I thought he said he was never a railway modeler in part 1 lol

  • Are those kids in the military uniforms the scouts?

  • I want to know where he found out how to fix the Scotsman. I have the exact same engine, and wouldn't mind knowing how to overhaul it.

  • it is funny to think that the elder love this stuff rather then the teenagers..its kinda cute to see old guys doing this

  • No one has the heart to dislike this!

  • he did it again, this time racing the Germans with 3 different types of train. Britain won 2-1 and all 6 trains eventually made it!

  • they're having another crack at this i can't wait - Transmission on BBC

  • I want his keep calm shirt.

  • AWW British people are so united....!

  • I like the random guy in the Redskins hat haha. NFL is getting more popular overseas it seems.

  • 9:58 OH YEAH A PACER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he should use g scale

  • I work in buffers model railways (the shop he goes into during this episode) and also the company that helped out with the track laying process, and next month were doing this again, but hornby are getting their employees to put all the track together now :)

  • @infernodood3 - I hope someone lets us know when it happens - I'd love to watch it. Hope you make it all the way to Bideford this time.

  • awesome shirt

  • and to this date they still use MARK 1 coaches :D

  • They should have continued this series :(

  • @lennic95 They cancelled it???

  • @lhrmeonom No it was just supposed to be 6 episodes... :/

  • @lennic95 too bad... they should've continued it, it'd be like Top Gear! at least we have top gear!

  • 01:50

I think we had a short there. XD

  • "maria and lynns shop" thats buffers model railways near axminster and chard i work there :) thers loads of pictures of james may with the staff there

  • A valuable prototype of the Hitachi 395 and he wrecked it lol.

  • @codemannz - on the contrary, he "tested it to destruction". Hornby probably learned a lot from their prototype's ordeal, and tweaked the design of the production model for better durability. At least I hope they did...

  • the Hitachi 395 is one good looking train

  • UK and its rain....

  • Okay, know this is a dumb question, but who are those young people in army uniforms putting the track together? They look too young to be in the military. I've never seen anything like that.

  • @JPnintendofan they're scouts lol

  • @alexkvaskov Our scouts don't look anything like that, but thanks.

  • @JPnintendofan could be cadets

  • the old man remind me of jeremy clarkson!!!!

  • Right. Go away.

  • It seems like the only thing trains are used for here in the US is lame graffiti... such a shame since most of these old trains were build by hand and STILL last longer than any car ever has/will.

  • shame that they didnt use and M7 for a commuter service

  • GET CARTER!

  • I'll get a flying Scotsman

  • I'd LOVE todo tis with my Athearn FEF-3 and a Athearn Challanger. EPIC COAL TRAIN BABY. :P

  • In Switzerland the train is still king. They have THE BEST railway system in the world. Smart, efficient, clean, and always on time, except when the Italian Cisalpino hog the line,

  • @DraganDrabic But they don't have air conditioning in the smaller trains, even in the new ones, which actually makes it quite disgusting, smelly and sauna-like. Next time i'm going from Solothurn to Bern I'm getting a bus or something else.

  • @YtubeHatersInc O rly? When I was in Central Switzerland last month all the trains I was on were air conditioned. Were you on SBB, if so which style of rail car? The IC 2000 was the 1 i was on as well as the local trains around Zug know as the Stadtbahnzug.

  • @DraganDrabic I don't know the names. The big ones do have air conditioning, and are awesome by the way, the best trains I have ever seen, they look like an airport vip lounge! LOL.

I was on SBB, it one of the new trains (the blue and yellow ones with no more than three cars) . Really confortable, great looking, unless it's 30ºC and it´s full of people.

I guess the main problem relies in me being spanish, and therefore living in a culture where aircon is necessary in public transport.

  • @DraganDrabic (Part 2) It maybe was that the aircon did not work, but I doubt it as I went to Bern various times as the same happened always. It was a small train for a relatively short journey, but I felt as if I was melting, anyway LOL.

  • Thank you very much pully87~I love your video ~And the Javelin , cuz I am a Japanese!~XDDD

  • "my life's work is done." i laughed so hard.

  • I HAD A FLYING SCOTSMAN !!!!!

  • im making a 00 scale garden railway

  • @liamrc09 for outdoors id go with On30 or 45mm gauge

  • same in Ireland, all old railways were taken up, such a pity to see heritage dying.

  • The best episode of this series
