Might I suggest setting a tripod on the passenger seat and belt it in.Set the seat a little back so you get a little bit of the dash in for perspective? I did that years ago and it worked a treat.
I haven't been up there for some time.. what's the traffic been like lately?
:) Thanks for the suggestion mate. The camera is mounted on a very convenient brace that runs across the seat-belt towers. your suggestion makes sense having the camera offset so you get a more 3-dimensional effect but I don't have the right gear to do it.
The traffic early Saturday morning is ok, you pass a few hard-core cyclists, and only a couple of cars.
Unfortunately I dont have an XR4. But i am proud to say i have the cheapest car that ford sells in australia, manual lx. Its quite good though, bog stock unless removing the hub caps and some bridgestone potenza re001s are mods. not a handful but more than enough for me to enjoy a nice road. yeah mum drove an XR4 she said it was pretty good, might not be the best endorsement but mum had a 206 gti 180 and a 206 gti so shes know abit about hot hatches.
big fella it looks like youve turned around at the cafe. im sure you already know but the best piece of tarmac ive ever driven on is probably 2ks past the cafe, so smooth its brilliant. keep up the good work and if you see a black fiesta on the hill its me!
:) we were all time-restricted and between the BP servo and the cafe it took, surprisingly, 25 mins. Relatively leisurely pace mind you.
Do you have the XR4? That's a nice lookin' car. Must book myself in for a test-drive. If it doesn't rain this sat, there might be a few of us goin' up.
get into the really rainforesty bit but and its fucked...you got leaves all over the road and the back starts to kick and the road gets a bit shitty in places...but your right past the school and stuff? that is rather mint
I love my MX5. 95 I just bought it and with 51,000 on the clock its not even run in.
I call mine "The Billy Cart" sensational car! Corners like its on train tracks. Pure Sports car. Its what it hasn't got that makes it great.
