Please check out the various investigation reports, this is finally not what happened. The well blew through the failed float equipment, while the cement did its magic sealing the annulus as it should, even though the job design was less than stellar.

So, if the hole goes straight down thousands of feet...

Then why not lower some sections of LEAD-filled pipe into it, starting with a very thin diameter, coupling on thicker and thicker pieces... until a weight of hundreds of tons neutralizes the thousands of pounds of pressure per square inch???

The leak would be reduced tremendously, until the thickest piece at the top could have a seat / seal... to entirely shut it down.

The new hole can be dug in August, as planned.
