@falzonbr sadly it probably never will, three loco's 1218, 819, and 1522 have been remove from service and they aren't exactly what you mainline ready
@modeltrainman12345 or maybe they will think about 2-8-2 (not involved with this but) southern 2-8-2 #4501 is get back in service for its 100th birthday maybe the same thing will happen to 1522, 819, and 1218
@IraDeathViper I'm just going from what I heard from various sources (NS included), yes the 4501 will be back, will it be in time for her hundredth, maybe, but my point stands that the 1522 is static museum exhibit now (St. Louis museum of Transportation) and the 1218 is as well (Virginia museum of Transportation I think not sure on exact name) and the 819 was taken out of service and if i remember correctly now a static display as well.
Today #819 looks like shit
