Why is the music sped up?

@Phenlandia It's not, two songs are mixed together and they are both original version

@martena2008 I know they're the original versions, but on my computer at least the tempo on the first song is too fast and the pitch is shifted up. Just listen to any other version, there are a dozen on Youtube. It's not a big deal, it just sounds weird.

A masterpiece of music and film, too bad about the acting and loose plot, that is not the point, it is one of the best horror films of all time

That's technically true even if acting wasn't required in the 70's 80's horror movies. There are a lot of exemple, american movies included

Considering that Inferno has different hard messages to get, there are a lot of scene that no one understood back then, people should study Argento's plot with logic, most nightmares don't have logic. I gave an exam on this movie :)

I just don't agree with the thesis that it is style over substance. I have just purchased The Third Mother but have been impressed by what I have seen online about it.

I think that one needed to know that in the beginning the Freiburg Academy was the Mother of Sighs House. I know both New York and Freiburg are mentioned in the Third Mother as, I believe, are Susie and Mark's characters from the first two.

But the opera scale of the death scenes in Inferno - breathtaking esp the guy in CPNW.

Have not seen it yet but seen bits of it. Took a long time to get the DVD here in Australia so what's another day or two :)

@brismike65 The acting was actually intentionally supposed to be that way.  Argento stressed for the actors to act and respond to their situations like children would, not adults.
