  • Oh! This is where I have that jingle in my head! It was from this Roy Roger's commercial! Wow, great mystery that has been solved.

  • roy rogers is planning a big come back

  • The fixins bar was awesome!!!! I think theres still one on the I-95 Delaware/Maryland rest stop, not sure though.

  • I miss Roy Rogers! :(

  • Who would EVER eat burgers with dancing legs sticking out of them? At least Roy Rogers gave you a choice: legs and/OR arms {mustaches optional}!

    ;)

  • yo i had no idea that roy rogers is from my home state of VA

  • 0:15 - Owned

  • a group has been made nby me on this restaurant

  • I just live about say 5 full minutes from a Roy Rogers that's on the Turnpike but there used to be one on the other side of my House on the other block still bless Roy Rogerts himself!!!

  • I don't think there are many Roy Rogers Restaurants left, other than NYC and The Turnpike stops...sad :-(

  • I-87/Thruway has 3 of them & there are more on I-84 in NY State. The only one left in NYC is across MSG. All the others are gone. There was a nice one w/ 2 floors on Broadway right by the WTC, but after 9/11 it just lost business & closed. They probably had to do a hell of a cleanup in there with the debris.

  • Was this a regional chained restaurant?

  • It's still around, but in much smaller numbers. They have/had restaurants in Maryland (where it originated), NY, NJ, PA, CT, and MA from what I remember. There were many of them before. At least in the 100's. There are 3 on I-87, some on I-84 in NY, one across MSG in Manhattan, some in Maryland, and a few in Massachusetts. There was one on I-84 in CT close to Hartford, but I think that one's gone.

  • @wtcvidman yeah i just went to one in Secaucus nj

  • @TheHAMMER77777

The next time I'm there, I have to check it out. I went to the one at the New Baltimore rest area on the Thruway last night. The ones on the Thruway have a new Spicy Chicken sandwich that's pretty good.

  • @wtcvidman yeah i think they all have that...where do u live? near New Baltimore? im from Suffern ny but live in NJ Now

  • @TheHAMMER77777

I'm in Jersey now too but am originally from Woodside Queens (where they had my favorite Roy's restaurant). I had the best Gold Rush Chicken Sandwich I ever had there. Next time I go to one, I'm going to take some chicken pieces home besides the stuff I eat there. I loved their chicken pieces & it's been a long time since I last had it. Their desserts were also good. The sundae & strawberry shortcake were very good. The one on I-84 by Hartford, CT had it a few years ago.

  • @TheHAMMER77777

But I didn't get the sundae that night. Last time I drove through Hartford on I-84, I didn't see that one anymore (it was a standalone Roy's). The one in Newington, CT on 15 (Wilbur Cross Pkwy) is also gone & was also a standalone restaurant.

  • @wtcvidman where in Jersey bro? im in warren county

  • @TheHAMMER77777

Northeast. Not far from Nanuet, NY which isn't far from Suffern.

  • @wtcvidman oh so Secaucas is near you...ever go to Rutts hut in Clifton? i used to work in Passaic and Hackensack so i Know your area Well

  • Fixin's bar was DOPE son
