I can believe it, 'roofvishoek.' In years to come one of the distinguishing features that may separate Anneke above all other vocalists, in looking back upon the golden years of symphonic metal , if one can say so at the present, outside of the fact that she's beyond all superlatives to begin with, is the fact that most of the lyrics by theGathering were entirely written by Anneke. Truly an amazing poet and performer/singer.

Cuando comentaban sobre esta banda no solía llamar mi atención pues llegué a escuchar un disco por ahi de los últimos, como viejo amante del metal no colmaba mis espectativas... cuando compré este disco y lo escuhé por primera vez en una de esas noches en las que uno no puede dormir, sin querer fui descubriendo este trabajo y cuando llegó el turno de In Motion # 1 pues simplemente puedo decir que es una belleza... recomiendo el disco MANDYLION, porque cambiaron?????

Bueno yo pienso que cambiaron porque Anneke siempre busca la originalidad y después del Mandylion salieron muchas bandas similares a The Gathering con vocalistas femeninas que todos conocen ahora y creo que eso influyo y bueno también toda banda tiende a evolucionar unas más que otras si te das cuenta la mayoria de bandas metal sus primeros discos comienzan pesadisimos y luego bajan las revoluciones algunos cambian radicalmente como The Gathering haciendo una música más profunda y original.

Tienes razón, aunque en el comentario obvié el hecho de tener en caset al disco always, que por cierto me gusta. Muchas bandas van madurando y haciendo cosas espectaculares pero como dije me gusta el metal y cuando escuché home... sentí ese vacío.
