That is really pretty furniture! I have bought both of my kids furniture at babies r us, i love the sets, but i hate that they don't save it very long, both my kids sets were discontinued so now i can't find the rest of the extra pieces for them! Anyways, i really like it. Do you guys have the bedding yet, and the wall color picked? I love seeing how it all comes together! :)
When you told Jacelyn that the baby is coming how did she react? I have a son born Jan2007 and a daughter Feb.2008 and they are a lol everyday a new adventure. But while I was pregnant with my daughter one day I took the babies car seat and put a doll in it and he walked over and jabbered something and pointed and I said baby and I watched what he did and how he reacted all day it is fun to see how your little one reacts lol can't stop laughing to myself while I'm remembering.lol
haha no. Not intentionally at least. We don't use vulgar language around her, nor have we been a big fan of the s word. Our kitty was meowing through the door, dunno what she was trying to say?
Yea THEY WILL REPEAT THAT KIND OF STUFF 4 SURE was this ur regular weekly update it was differnt that usual i jb=now u have been busy and stressed out lately LOL
Wow, that furniture is so gorgeous..You really put so much effort into your kids rooms they are so amazing. Well done and good on you!!!! Jacelyn is really cute she looks like a handful at times. She is very independent...
We planned on painting his room tan, luckily it was already done for us. haha. If we do add color to his walls it will be a dark blue or a maroon. Still debating.
We had planned on painting hers again, but now that we are getting everything in there, I'm kind of enjoying the change, and besides if we don't like it in the long run we can always paint it :) but as of right now it's going to stay tan till we get everything, decor, on teh walls to see what it looks like, then we'll decide.
Yes, I learned that lesson early in life. I also owe no man anything. I do love your furniture. It will last him probably till he moves out. Its so nice. I love your choices.
That's the plan! I figured it's cheaper in the long run to buy nice stuff now. Vs cheaper stuff that has to keep being replaced. So both our daughter & our son should have their furniture for as long as we all take good care of it, till college and off they go with it. Thats the plan at least
I think it's sweet you're planning to give your children the furniture when they move out. When I moved out my parents took back all my furniture, they even took back my bed, which they didn't need. lol. The stuff you've gotten for your son is beautiful! I love the dark wood color
Well my parents didn't allow me to take anything except for my clothes and personal items. BUT THEN let my brother take my bedroom suite with him when he moved out.... My husband had a built in bed so of course it couldn't be moved, and what furniture he did have was crap and not worth taking... So I think that is why we did things so differently from our parents, lol. We want to make sure they have something to take with them. It will be up to them *w/ our help* to take care of THEIR stuff tho
They gave my stuff to my brother too! I was sad because I was already planning on giving my dresser to my first child (if I ever got a new dresser to replace it), since it was little. So now my Hubby and I definitely want to give our children their furniture, if it lasts through childhood that is! lol
What about school loans? It also may be a cheaper cost of leaving down there? I don't know. I can't imagine getting all the things you do. Even if my hubby did what yours is and we didn't have any debt. :) But good for you!!! Jacelyn is adorable and you are doing a terrific job on raising her.
We received grants for school, no need for a loan. Cost of living in DFW is NOT cheap, at least not compared to East Texas, lol. Now that place is cheap. But u have to remember economy is different everywhere. It does cost more to live here but he makes more money here vs back home. When we stayed in Key Largo, FL he made "okay" money but the cost of living there was INSANELY expensive.
Are you guys planning on paining just Jacelyn's room? Will you be leaving the walls in baby brothers room the same? I think the walls look good with the new furniture. Oh I said baby brother because I'm not sure if I'm not suppose to mention the name you have chosen. Anyway I love how Jacelyn's furniture is white and his is a dark wood.
We planned on painting his room tan, luckily it was already done for us. haha. If we do add color to his walls it will be a dark blue or a maroon. Still debating.

He works hard. Normally it would be harder for us to afford the things we currently are buying. But he is working extra shifts at work so we CAN afford our midwife expenses as well as the things we need for our son. Unlike most people the only bills we have are our home/utility bills. We don't have credit cards, car payments. Firm believers in, if you can't buy it in cash, then you can't afford it period. lol
is the colour of the wood cherry ?? or chestnut ??

Yes it's picked out, but we can't afford to buy it just yet, ha. We're getting there. Just too many current expenses w/ the move.

No your not supposed to mention it. Jacelyn's furniture is antique it's an off white/yellow color.

I totally agree! If you can't buy it in cash you can't afford it! We don't have car bills or credit card bills either. We pay for everything in cash!
gwenora 2 years ago
It's the best way in MOST aspects. We have learned that you can't earn credit this way. Which in return does bite us in the butt, but o-well.
