You can tell Kristen is smart, especially when she spends a lot of time during her interviews trying to articulate complex thoughts rather than giving a straight answer like any other actor would. Her complex articulation of her thoughts would be better for writing novels than in interviews where nowadays people often want a brief, complete answer in one sentence.
