Yeah, you gotta compress it so it can fit on Youtube.

I use Windows Movie Maker for that, but it always ends up putting these ugly bars on the sides of the video. :(

Yeah, apparently if you go into setting and go to the advanced option there is an option called Record demo "Yes, No" and if you click yes it records gameplay, i havnt seen frame rates of the recordings ect but i am having trouble in getting the file type to be compatible with any player at all, try it out, youll find the video files somewhere in your quake live folder silly ID software need to get some folder management =]

yeh its a DM_73 i think i know a program that worked with DM_68 files (quake 3 arena) but it dont support DM_73's

advice to new players: watch Quake 3 frag movies (dont search for Quake Live) and look how they play...

youll see they strafe jump, use a different FOV and other settings...

try them out, ive just put on a test video ;)

but there are WAY better players out there than me,..

Conclusion: (:P) watch Quake 3 frag movies and experiment with your settings ;)

well if you pc aint new try open console Ctrl+Alt + button under Esc then type R_picmip 1 that should sort it

r_picmip 3 , cg_drawgun 0 , cg_fov 110 , cg_forceModel 1 and u play way better ;) try it

ivo1337, picmips not gonna make him play better.. its just gonna improve his fps.. people like me with a good comp will choose to play on all high settings and still cap at 125 fps easy.

what compression did you use? and with what program did you compress? Windows Movie maker?

Yeah, I used FRAPs.

And as for compression, I sorta just stuck the movie onto Windows Movie Maker, then published it, as Windows Media HD Quality I think.
