I learned how to sing this song when I was in college at PNU, and only that time when I found out that Dr. Santiago is my "kababayan". Until now, I've been appreciating to listen and loving to sing it, hoping that someone would play the accompaniment for me.

I cried a lot when I watched the great classic film with the same title starring Rosa Rosal at Gateway Cinema.
