@boardbuddy0 Listen to what your coach tells you. A lot of what these fencers do have specific timing and blade work that you may not understand unless your coach instructs you correctly. You'll otherwise end up with poor habits. Also, focus more on the Italian form rather than the American form, they're both effective to an extent, but beginning fencers should focus on more basic forms before modifying them. There's a reason why this form wasn't adopted as commonly in other nations.

Trulyloyal are being threatned by a kid for the states, LOL. It is obvious that developing countries in fencing such as the usa and china will start showing up in the World competitions but they are no threat to anybody. They may the most raise the competion level. But they are not to take over that competition or at least not in our lifetime. A single Italian fencer such as Valentina Vezzali has more Olimpic gold medals then the entire USA . It is a long way off for them to build any legacy.

p.s. : i'm a junior fencer but i know lots about fencing and posses experiences for more than 1/2 year. fencing improves your charisma and thinking ability.
