  • Great plane, I see, but the DO-228 cant beat the DO-28A...I could land the thing backward in a stiff breeze! Is there any still flying?

  • Wow! Great pilot and great aircraft, I feel a whole lot more confident flying in one again next time!

  • Certainly not the most aesthetic aircraft, but she was a pleasure to fly. Perhaps the most responsive planes I have flown owing to the anhedral and highly effecient wing. Made for effortless and clean aileron and barrel rolls. Great video for showcasing the Do228's aerobatic prowess!

  • Þjóðverjarnir kunna þetta. :P

  • Hver man ekki eftir þessari með vínrauðum strimlunum.

  • Fun airplane to fly. It will do all you see in this video with ease. Glad to hear someone is making it again.

  • nice video.. but it would be better if you shut up

  • @ThePiratadosacores This was clearly at an airshow. So the cameraman wasnt talking. So it's best if you shut up.

  • The Do-228 is being build by Ruag now. Yes, the 228 is a great plane with a fantastic lineage, and will once again provide excellent service. I'm building a website right now for a Paragon Aircraft Corp, who has exclusive sales rights for Africa and most of Europe. Paragon is not yet fully up and running yet, but will be full on before 2010 ends.

  • Thanks heimirab putting this video into Youtube, I'm working at the Do 228-212 New Generation yet and I'm very proud about the fact that this great plane will be built again..................

  • Really it is going to be produced again?? this is a great news!!! I was in Dornier HQ in Oberpfaffenhoffen, Germany, in 2003 and they told me that the company failed. Who is it going to build it now?

  • Hello former collegue, I was at Dornier too since they failed. I work in OP since 2007 again. Special VIP Equipment for 328 and since August this year we build the incredible 228 again at RUAG, the type certificate holder of the 228.

  • my dad got one of those...

    :D

  • afhverju geta þeir ekki haft aðra svona sýningu??

  • Funny he said " could it be he has passengers onboard" xD

  • i have done single engine landings on dornier 228,but itz the first time i'm seeing a single engine roll!amzing..and the loops are wonderful!!

  • nice vid (Y) Do228 IS a strange (ugly at most) but wonderfull plane!

  • yes, she may look strange but she's one hell of a plane

  • yes she is.. =D considered to be one of the most versatile aircrafts ever.. used from the US coast guard to meteorolocial tropical storms studies, to almost every known operating configuration.. a brilliant craft in deed! regards

  • very nice, it would be better if the speaker could shut up some seconds

  • I hope the Seat Belt light was on.

  • The do-228 is strange but beautiful.

  • I am a solid Twin Otter fan, and it and the Dornier are the only two planes allowed at Lukla, Nepal airport. I'm starting to gravitate towards the Dornier...Need to get a GOOD copy of one for my Flight Simulator.

  • never would have expected a do228 to do that! incredible, that's good piloting.

  • Very Nice video, it make me believe that i can do that tomorrow on my dornier 228 after take-off at St BARTH.

I was almost sure that it was possible, feeling its agility.

  • very nice, it would be better if the speaker could shut up some seconds

  • very nice, it would be better if the speaker could shut up some seconds !

  • for the typ of aircraft, yeah its aerobatic,,,, nothing much till you see and edge540 or extra 2690 or extra 300

  • That really is incredible.

  • normal operation.

  • the german pilots are the best in aerobatics

  • Negative. The Russians currently have the best pilots and aircraft (Sukhois) in aerobatics.

  • nice..amazing to see an d228 do all that..

  • I love the dornier.. Best aircraft ever<33

  • what amazing video!! i cant belive that a d228 can do that. great fly!

  • I do recognize the display as it has been flown by my friend and former colleague Cpt Willy Schmidt from Germany. Many thanks for this enjoyable Video!
