  • @MarshalZhukov i bought my Mosin M38 for 75$ from a buddy. bore is extremely good and has strong rifling.

  • Great video thank you

  • hi!just want to ask can you put scope on your m44,m59?

  • @awesomeNepic You might be more specific of your "m59" nomenclature. If you mean the 91/59, then yes, you can. You can put a scope on any of them, but the methods are different. The rear sight base on the 91/59 can be removed, the existing dovetail grooves can be used with narrow scope mounts. I wouldn't recommend a cheap mount to replace the rear sight leaf on the M44, it most likely won't hold a zero.

  • Nice collection dude!! I just started with two Mosin Nagant 9130's. I haven't figured out which nationality they are yet, but the first one I bought was built in 1943. I have another on lay-a-way and my local Dunham's store. Its laminate and cost about $50 more than I paid for the first one.

  • @MrKZizzle I'd say your first 1943 is an Izhevsk. They made better than 4 million of them that year alone. Odds are pretty favorable there. Congrats man, it's a disease. There will be more. Many more. Don't ask me how I know either :D

  • Nice collection. Especially like that hex reciever 91/59. I have a round reciever 91/59, Izhevsk 1943, and a Tula M44 1944. I like the music in the background too. Looking for a Polish M44 made in the 1950's, but that is my dream Carbine.

  • how rare is the `53 hungarian m44?

and how much would somthing like that cost today?

  • @aaronzack14 They aren't that "rare" but were only produced for 2 years. If you get one in good shape, $200-$250 might be a decent price, matching of course with a like new bore, bluing, parts etc. A lot of them were refurbed, so a refurb one, depending on condition, really bad to good condition, minimal stock dings, damage, good bore, in tact bluing, $100-$200. It's hard to gauge price, as ultimately it's what someone will pay.

  • @aaronzack14 Might try perusing some gun auction websites and view past auction results. That way you can view some that have been completed with buyers and what they paid for one.

  • You are a lucky man.

  • U PROBABLY DONT BELIEVE ME BUT I HAVE A MINT CONDITION 1934 FIINISH MOSIN NAGANT ALL ORIGINAL. IT SHOOTS A 7.62+54R BULLET.IRON SIGHTS.THERES AN UPSIDE DOWN TRIANGLE WITH A T IN IT. THE END OF THE BARREL SIGHT LOOKS LIKE A W ITS NOT ROUND LIKE YOURS . WHAT DO U THINK ITS WORTH NOTHING AT ALL HAS EVER BEEN CHANGED

  • @mackamillion87 Put up a slide show of some good pics with a macro setting, or shoot a vid of it so I can see the gun. You've got a Tikka rifle anyways with the "T" inside an inverted triangle. What model is it? Need more info to determine the model and any other significant marks on it.

  • very nice video! I have yet to see a Hungarian or a Romanian M44 but i have handled a Polish M44 at a gunshow, but sadly the owner want a bit to much for it.

  • You never mentioned how much you paid for the 91/59?

  • Yeah, im in the market for a RPG-7 ive been looking around but seems no one wants to be selling them. -.-

  • But where can i get a russian made ak47. not romanian or yugo but one that is made in russia.

  • It's a matter of looking around. Surely you can find one. Try gunbroker and other online auction websites. They will probably cost quite a bit. Ask around at your local gun stores.

  • Very nice collection you have there check out my M91/30 I have two video's of it posted.

  • Try an Arsenal SGL21 they are converted saigas and mine hasan't givin me a single problem.

  • @7xrepiv go to aimsurplus

  • What did you clean the blueing's with? They look great! Can't wait to shoot!!

  • If by bluings you mean the metal, barrel, receiver, etc. just mineral spirits. A toothbrush and a small cup or something to dip in, then wipe clean with an old rag or something. It won't hurt anything. I have cleaned the bore, and the chamber with mineral spirits before, and denatured alcohol. The alcohol will get rid of any and all oils, and the mineral spirits does ok. Gets any oily residue from your chamber to prevent sticky bolt with lacquered ammo.

  • I watched this before thought i commented on it! thanks!

  • Spokane

  • Call around. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find one in Spokane. I mean, it's the east side of the state after all :D

  • i live in washington

  • Where at?

  • What store can i buy one. is there a website that sells aks? do i have to have a special lisence for a semiauto ak.

  • Depending on where you live will depend on what kind of AK you can get. If you live in the PR of Kalifornia, you'll have to jump through flaming hoops to get one. You can look around the internet to try to find AKs for sale, gun shows, or gun shops local to you. You can try places like Southern Ohio Gun, Classic Arms, J&G Sales, and many more that import and distribute firearms.

  • @7xrepiv Why don't you look around google, or call your local police department?

  • There is a website called Atlantic Firearms that is selling Romanian AK's for about $480 each, plus accessories.

  • Thanks.

  • Is there a way that i can buy a legal Russian ak47 in the U.S?

  • what is that song in the back ground p.s.i bought a mosin nagant at a pawn shop for 54 bucks it is made in 1955 and i was wandering if you have some tips for me?

  • There is more than one song, which one are you seeking more information on? If you have a 1955 M44, then it is not Russian. What is the arsenal stamp? Does it match any of the ones in my video? $54 is a great deal. Are all the parts there for that price?

  • zaitsev*

  • so a kar98 has about the same accuracy as the 91/30 mn sniper rifle?

  • It is really dependent on the shooter, and bore condition. Newly issued rifles would probably be pretty close in terms of accuracy. But, a rifle with optics ought to outshoot an iron sight rifle at distance. So, the scoped rifle should win that contest. However, there are accurate MN rifles, and accurate Mausers. Generally Mausers are of better quality, and in most cases, most will probably shoot better than a Mosin. But Mosins have proven themselves. They are accurate rifles. Just do your part.

  • indeed, im sure if we were all mini vasselli zystefs then there wouldnt be a difference in accuracy :) with newly issued rifles

  • which do you think is better a Kar98 or the mosin nagant.

  • Kar98 is in general more accurate then mosin nagants.. so Kar98's are more powerful and accrurate then mosin nagants, but if you are talknig about an individual rifle then.. tons of mosin nagants were really accurate and were issued to snipers.. but the ones that were really accurate were almost as accurate as Kar98, so ya Kar98

  • I wouldn't necessarily say one is more powerful than the other in terms of muzzle velocity and energy. They are both quite close.

  • 2800 feet per second for both, m91/30 is lil bit higher muzzle velocity, long barrel

  • Nice! I have a 1943 M38 and a 1946 M44 both Russians & I love them. I was considering buying a 91/30 that was selling for $67 but decided that it was too long for my liking. Now I'm wondering if maybe I should get it just for investment reasons. I mean, I don't see how it could go further down in price. What do you think the outlook is on increasing value of these rifles. I would never sell my M38 or M44 but maybe I should pick up a few 91/30's at that price. What do you all think?

  • If anything, you can sell them for what you paid for them, or sometimes more. Going rate is about $100. Can be found cheaper online, but shipping puts it close to $100 from most places. Big5 sells them on sale for $100 as well. So if you buy that gun for $67, you could probably sell it for $100-$120 depending on the market where you live. Not a bad idea at all though. Do your research so you know what you're buying. Or know more than the guy selling it :)

  • @MarshalZhukov - Sadly, I waited too long on those rifles. They were on sale at Turners Outdoorsman in Corona CA. I called today and found out that they had been sold during the weekend. It's cool though because I just found and purchased a Yugo M48 8mm Mauser today. It's in Verry Good condition. I can't wait to pick it up. Gotta wait 10 days, CA Sucks!

  • Oh M48, those are nice rifles. My 24/47 Yugo shoots well. If you're looking for ammo, if you can buy it online in CA, The Sportsman's Guide or J&G has pretty good deals on it.

  • 10 days does suck. Atleast turners does the dros to the minute... fookin big 5 starts it the next day. errrrrr!

  • where did you buy the 1946 m44?

  • Bought it off a buddy of mine. That was my very first MN rifle. He originally bought it at Big5. I bought it from him for like $70 or something like that. The deal certainly turned out in my favor.

  • Nice collection of carbine's

  • thanks for the reply. word around the campfire is that my 91/30 was sighted in with the bayonet fixed to the end of the barrel. i was simply wondering if a guy took a nother bayonet and cut off the poker part and fix it to the gun if it would have the same results as a bayonet in terms of accuracy? in case i'am not permitted to carry a bayonet when shooting at certain places just a dumb question. something i will be making a vid about soon. thanks!.

  • nice collection! i realy like these and my 91/30! what is a name [brand] for "heavy ball" ammo? i would like to get some and try my groups.should i get another poker and cut it down to the locking lug to improve my accuracy? thanks.

  • Well there is commercially loaded heavy stuff. But as far as milsurp, I haven't seen much of it. Everything that I have seen is light ball stuff. Might check the Sportsman's Guide for bulk ammo. Usually have decent deals. I wouldn't cut the stock on one. You could try your luck with an ATI stock if you are looking for something that is sporterized. Then you can always sell the gun if necessary in original configuration to a C&R holder.

  • nice video, very good job, love your little collection.

  • i have 2 questions where did you get this and how much is the ammo a round and were do you think i could find the ammo easiest? because idk if walmart sells this size but if you know please tell me

and by the way love the video and your rifles!! =]

  • as low as 12 cents a round up to $2 a round for primo grade. no, wallymart doesn't sell it. buy it online from sportsmans guide, jg sales etc.

  • thanks i found every thing i needed =]

  • All you need is a Chinese type 53 & a Polish m44 & you'll be set!

  • Yea no kidding. I could have bought a T53, but I saw it in a gun shop and didn't know what it was. Came back, jumped on the forum, and sure enough someone has posted a topic about it. Read up on and found they are kinda rare. Should have bought it but it was gone when I went back a while later. Owell. Keep an eye out. Gun show this weekend never know...

  • thank you for your time and showing us these guns that made history.

  • Glad to do it. Hoping on a prospective Remington M91 here next weekend, but we'll see if its still there. LOTS of history there, if only they could talk!

  • i was wandering were is a good place to buy cheap ammo for the mossin nagant?

  • Ammo for the Mosin Nagant can be found online. It is getting harder to come buy, because of you know who..... But Classic Arms, J&G Sales, Sportsmans Guide, Cheaper than Dirt, and any other distributor or importers you can think of. That is just to name a few. For a good deal, prices shouldn't exceed $100 for a 440 tin. They have been staying pretty steady at $85-90 for Bulgarian milsurp. Russian ammo is pricier. Try those, and good luck.

  • i just found out that a m91-59 is a cut down old 91-30, the modification was after the war

  • Correct. They are known as being quite accurate out of the carbine bunch.

  • я говорю на русском языке

  • Nice video. Those dashes at 0:54 I believe are wittness marks for screwing on the barrel to the receiver. You must really love Mosin Nagant carbines. I have a Mosin Nagant in the sniper configuration. Its alot of fun. The scope has the 3 needle sight reticule.

  • I love my Mosins. Always keeping an eye out for some good deals. They are fun to shoot, and the milsurp ammo is relativly cheap still. I'd love to get my hands on a sniper, but right now going to put my money elsewhere.

  • I remember when surplus ammo was around 7 cents a round now its up to around 20 cents a round. Its not just that caliber to all ammo has gone up in price lately or just dried up all together. I hope this ammo shortage ends soon. I want to go shooting.

  • that just made me want to leave th UK, then I would have 5 of the same rifle D:

  • Thanks. I love shooting them. I have yet to shoot my Hungarian M44. I need to find some 1/4 x 32 TPI tap and dye to re-thread the forward bolt and lug it goes in to. It has been stripped, and was like that when I bought it. Lots you don't know until you get it torn apart. Hopefully soon I will have some videos of me shooting as well.

  • nice collection of Mosin Nagants. I have an m44 i did a video on it awhile ago. I also have a couple of vid of me and a buddy shooting some stuff. I will tell you that i was new to guns and mosins for that matter so i look like i sucked at shooting... who am i kidding i was bad at shooting but ive improved a hell of a lot. anyways good stuff.
