This song is nearly 50 years old, still one of my favourites of all time. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY rocks like these guys. Maximum RnB indeed. Play loud.
Nobody has or will ever play rock-guitar like Townshend on this..this is amazing, roaring, masterful, visually perfect...slashing rythm and blistering lead..wow

Terrible version! the original was a sublime R&B track with loads of blue eyed soul! Daltrey has turned this version into another one of his favoured rock efforts and ruined it!
Surely, there is no better moment in Rock then when Pete is giving it Heavy Pelters with the right arm, much to the detriment to any guitar he is playing at the time.
i saw them on the 2000 tour. i had listened to them over and over again. i wasn't a hardcore fan so i didn't know that they had gotten together in 1989 and 1996 so it seemed like i was seeing history in the making. those opening chords were amazing. i was about to cry
I saw them in 2000 as well...was 12 at the time...didn't know who they were/didn't care...i am kicking myself VERY hard for that right now...i am a HUGE who fan now
An awesome and electrifying performance, no doubt about it.

@ 0.03 you can bet your life that Townshend turned the volume up on his amp, and not down. :o)

How fitting that only Ringo Starr's son could come close to what Keith did on this song. Excellent drumming going on here.

Over the years, Daltrey's voice has at times been a hit or miss proposition. He sounds pretty good here.

The sounds like an overblown wedding cake. The organ distracts.
The attempt at guitar playing rings awful.
This like a bad cover band of overplaying, overcompensating aged men.
