  • This is beautiful!!

  • ~PRAISE GOD~

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • If we 'confess', or is it, if we 'agree'?

So much unnecessary confusion. Too much life wasted wandering in error.

    How sad for you

All have their portion of what has been grasped of the truth but in our own individual experiences we err but cannot allow that we might be wrong, no, for that would accuse our very conscience, ideals & self assuredness that we are able to discern right from wrong.

Far too many toss away true life and freedom for traditions of men, lifeless law or Spirit?

  • @ic751a55:

You wrote of when John Michael Talbot "used to be a Christian." In the NT, Jesus says that His flesh is true food, and His blood is true drink, and that if you don't eat His flesh and drink His blood, you have no life in you. The writings of the early Christians, from the first and second centuries, show how they interpreted Jesus' words. They believed that Christ is really present in the Eucharist, as Catholics do today. The Catholic Church is the original Christian Church.

  • @christianman73 And of course Muslims have also been raised to believe theirs is the ''true'' belief system, as have Taoists, Mormons, Jehovah witness, baha'i, & on & on the list grows, another religion of the century comes along & claims THEIR'S is the 'TRUE' religion. Argue your preconceptions & erroneous presumption all you want, you're just another fool being fooled. There is only one ''Truth'' and His name is Jesus who died to do what the blood of bulls & goats couldn't do, TAKE SIN AWAY.

  • Benedictineacc, I believe in all that you are saying. ic751a55, catholics are often referred to as Catholic Christians, we are much like other christians, however, the Holy Sacraments make all the differences in the world; Reconciliation and Holy Communion. Christ instituted confession, gave this COMMAND to his disciples so people will be cleansed regularly; as we are sinners. Do not tell me you are free from sin; as presumption of God's forgiveness is a grave sin in itself.

  • @rjschae I am as he has made me & not in & of myself, my works nor my confession but rather as he has instructed, faith in him.

That you distort the finished work of Jesus and attribute the works of the Holy Spirit to evil, as in Presumption of forgiveness, displays your lack of faith in Jesus & your sadly ineffective erroneous faith in an establishment of man which you justify with deceptive words of confused & controverted meaning.

Jesus has taken sin away. Therein is freedom & Life eternal.

  • Find Him, The Truth, not by following the footsteps of those to whom you were born, be Born Again by following the leading of the Spirit.

He will call you out from among the faithless and error filled to a new life in the Spirit where behold all things are made new.

It is truly refreshing to the soul, as a drink of living water after wandering so long in the desert of lies and folly.

Half truths are half lies. In Him is no untruth, only love, and love accepts all as if ye are already perfect.

  • @LibraMantra You are so right, but there are the weaker among the brethren, those whom are still indwelt with fear and require signs and wonders, tangibles which they will someday find they are able to leave behind like a child who no longer finds necessary security in carrying it's plastic baby.

There exists so much upon the earth which is misaligned but will melt away with His coming. Be at peace within as you continue to know Him and His presence, and pray for those whom are still wandering.

  • Some of the best music I remember from the Summer of 1977 at Calvin Crest. Levi (Larry) played it on his record player and I was hooked.

This was from back when JMT was still a Christian.

The blood of bulls and goats "atoned" for sin, but Jesus took sin away.

    Herein is true faith.

  • ic751a55, it does appear that you've been terribly misinformed. John Michael Talbot has certainly not left, renounced, or abandoned the Christian faith! In fact, he has a very prosperous Christian community in Arkansas named The Little Portion Community. And he still makes music for The Lord, and you can catch his current instructional videos here on Youtube. I hope this has helped cleared up this misunderstanding for you.

  • On the contrary, I am Informed.

Roman Catholicism is not Christianity and most RCs will correct you if you call them Christian though they may not understand the differences.

The true Gospel message of complete forgiveness cannot coexist with common RC teaching, including but not limited to purgatory.

There is no freedom in guilt, that's why Jesus did what the blood of bulls and goats couldn't do for they were a continual REMINDER of sin but Jesus TOOK SIN AWAY, once for all.

    It is finished.

  • If you were informed, then you would understand that all forgiveness, including purgatory which cleanses the saved soul, is from Jesus Christ (Catechism, 1023-1032). But then again, you are a Protestant, so I would not expect you to understand the Christian faith, being that your understanding of it is incorrect and full of heresies.

Nevertheless, it is good that you do appreciate John Michael's music, and so that is one things which we can share in common.

  • That which is clean needs no cleansing.

You cite the catechism but fail to mention the book of Mormon, pearl of great price, tao, and all other writings which conflict with Jesus' finished work of complete forgiveness on the cross, and the free gift of eternal life which is entered into at the moment of believing.

You do not believe in Biblical truth, but in erroneous Roman Catholic presumption.

The sin of the world is they do not believe in Him. Here is true repentance, believe and be saved.

  • 1 John 1:7 states that the blood of Jesus CLEANSES us from all sin, not the blood of Jesus HAS CLEANSED us of all sin. So we are not cleansed, but are being cleansed. And of course I do not mention those other works, for they are not equal to scripture (neither is the Catechism). Your claim to be informed is weakened, but then again you are a Protestant. If you want to the faith once delivered unto the saints (Jude 3), then become a Catholic as John Michael did. I will pray for you,

  • ''are being cleansed''- you don't hear your own words, do you?

As we live out this body of sin as the Saints he has already made us, his finished forgiveness cleanses all sin because it is FINISHED

He is no longer on the cross but sits at the right hand of God continually making intercession for us because he can, only if it is FINISHED

    Awaken and arise, ALIVE!

He's so much better than tradition, mysticism or the fear of impending guilt taunting they who don't believe in finished forgiveness

  • @benedictineacc You cite the very passage you do not understand. The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from ALL sin, not some sin (as in past sin but not tomorrow's sin) ALL sin.

Cleanses is also a continual state, as water cleanses the river rock, never allowing it to become soiled.

You have become deceived by your own focus upon the wrong word within a very revealing Scripture.

Having read the 95 Thesis, I am HONORED by your intended belittling ad hominem attack with reference to Protestantism.

  • Thanks it's lovely!

  • Thank you so much for this video! Been hoping this song would be uploaded sometime on YT! God bless you!

  • This is really beautiful. Thanks!
