The young bhikkhu with the Sayadaw at 1:01 is now well known in his own right as Chanmyay Sayadaw U Janaka (unless I am mistaken). He is still teaching.
They took part in my ordination in 1979. Chanmay Sayadaw performed the role of questioning me about my eligibility for ordination. Mahasi Sayadaw was my preceptor.
I just finished reading "Knee Deep in Grace," a book about Dipa Ma's life, teachings, and students' remembrances of her. How wonderful to see this video of her alive. Thank you.
