Music is so much better when it has history and is so much moving when it has history with such mystique as this piece..unlike some of todays fashion where music is simply created although to its own, music that is simply created has a history of the creator i guess..
one of the amazing things about this piece is that it makes use of what is known as the "distortion product". that is... the doubling of tone results in the perception of a third tone which is produced entirely by physiological activity within the inner ear, and not from the violin.
@faugian I've seen numerous reference to Tartini's fondness for fencing and even for dueling, but find no mention anywhere of his ever having killed anyone.
“Una noche, en 1713, soñé que había hecho un pacto con el Diablo y estaba a mis órdenes, en un momento dado, le di mi violín y lo desafié a que tocara para mí
alguna pieza romántica. Mi asombro fue enorme cuando lo escuché tocar,
con gran bravura e inteligencia, una sonata tan singular y romántica
genius, his virtuosity is indisputable, although he plays a bit too fast for me. This piece sounds a lot better played more 'mystically' in my opinion.
you should come up with a site in which you'll have to provide a video link. It should then convert the video in the link to mp3, which you can download after the conversion.
one site is called video2mp3 with a NET rather than COM
@cakejunkie if you haven't gotten the song yet. Copy the url then go to got to keepvid and download it there in highquality mp4. next get a file converter. and convert it to mp3/audio. If you need to know where to get a converter message me. :3 I got the Devil's Trill this way and play it on my mp3 all the time!X3
Tartini saw Devil in his dream and the devil played ta wonderful piece and tartini woke up and tried to write down what he could remember and yes this last piece has lots of trills and that is the reason it is called Devil's trill
Tartini said that there is not even a single note from his dream, cause if he would writen down that song played by the devil, he would have destroyed his violin and never composed again. This is what Tartini said
@billythekid20 and tartini also had some skill very few violinists could play his music. this piece of work is the only thing i give the devil credit for

Love this music and her history.
If the devil plays violin like this in the hell, I guess isn't too bad down there.

billythekid20 you got the story almost right except that Tartini said that the devil played more beautifully than he did.

I find it all the more interesting because the violin we're hearing is older than the music.
The conclusion of The Devil's Trill is what I think is the closest thing to true abstract art put to music.

Tartini was an assassin, its duels were well known ed he was persecuted, but his music is incredible. He was the Devil, no doubt....
