my husband just left with the 278th as they are going on their second tour to iraq. this is his first. it kinda pisses me off. I hate not having him here.

This is the regiment I'll probably end up in...the 278th ACR. It's probably the most well-known national guard regiment in the Tennessee ARNG. They have all the cool jobs, such as 11b, 19d, and 19k, etc.

I really like this video. I just recently enlisted into the guard and I'm going to be with the 278th. The computer in my Instuctors class room for JROTC has the picture of the soldiers in formation spelling out "9-11 We Remember," I think a Spc. Basham (now Sgt I think) gave it to us because he graduated from there. I'm also really glad that I have already met several of the soldiers that are in the 278th such as SSg. Owens and SFC. Argo who have both been involved with my schools ROTC program.

Thank you. Please view the video and new song Stand Forever Tall made by reservist Doc Ells. The song pays tribute to our Active, Reserve and NG troops wounded and killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, especially women soldiers. It is a very touching video and original song that pays special tribute to a brave woman soldier who lost both legs to an IED.

Great video, I want to join the National Guard, then once I get out I want to become an Airliner pilot. What exactly do you do in the Natinoal Guard, I mean you personaly?
