  • Taking on Alice Cooper, The Moody Blues, Celine Dion....this woman can sing the phone book and she'd get our attention.

  • She speaks our language!!!

  • She speaks our language!!

  • What a stunning performance..

  • really good version..good feeling ..fresh approach

  • My wife doesn't like this song - she thinks it's anti - men. But I love it. I've always loved it. And Tina just gets it! What more could you ask for in a song?

  • @matherrjm It's not anti - men. It's anti - abusive-arseholes.

  • @ColeMercury Thanks for that. Now I understand why my wife didn't get it.

  • what are the chords for this song!!!!...love this version!

  • ...holy fuckin fuck this is amazing!!......

  • Hey guys woman I've loved a lot and I loss a few and I thank god for them so look after woman

  • wow, a deeply, a lovely emotional song. Alwys love Tina Arena. If I would have a lover, I wish she looks to her.

  • she 's so right.... the truth in this song is like a sweet pain

  • Superb!! ,always loved this song since I first heard Julie Covington's version back in 1977.

Must find more on Tina Arena, what a voice!!!!

  • hay ! assholes ,,,she asked alice if it was ok too do it ...thks ( i should know ) ..i was there ... well done r kid :)

  • she's one of the best timeless female singers....

  • This is so freakin' awesome. She's astounding.

  • ahh, too much blood, so many tears tears ...

  • shes amazing!

  • I have a very diversified taste of many types of performers. I have always been a HUGE Alice fan. I'm also a big fan of power voices of any kind. I never thought I'd find Tina Arena from listening to the combination of Alice Cooper and Donna Summer, but there she wastied into both performers either singing with or covering a great song. What an incredible talent.

  • WOW!!! I LOVE Alice Cooper but she brought me to tears!

  • WOW. I am impressed. I've been an Alice Cooper fan for nearly 40 years. He's still #1 in my book. This is the best cover of his song I've heard.

  • Replay button please :-D

  • FANTASTIC !!!

  • She has a beautiful voice, but I think she uses it in a pretty mediocre way. Nothing special, most singers can do such vocals. I think Tori Amos's version is much better, more powerful and unique, in spite of the fact that there is only one instrument in that version. But Tina is good too, I'm gonna check her other songs.

  • @testestest13 I've been a fan of Tina Arena for a very long time now. Her album "In Deep" is a package of powerful songs that showcase her voice in superb ways. Check it out! I would recommend "Flashback, Welcome to my World, Unsung Hero, and If I didnt love you. Back in the Philippines, I covered her songs and it's very challenging.

  • She is one fantastic singer.

  • So awesome.

  • I like this version better than Lita Fords version not saying that Lita's is bad but this chick is great:)

  • @Zeusifer666===== SHE'S GOOD OUT SINGS ALICE, TINA ARENA OWNED THIS VERSION.

  • Only ever heard John Farnham's version...this is nice...flows more

  • Beautiful rendition

  • I am starting to have a change of heart. I am listening to this to rehearse my own version. Listening to Alice's version and Etta James.

  • Whao ... was looking for Alice, found Tina, never been a fan of hers, a little too pop,

but here, DAMN, think the woman has bled ......

  • @ggforeigner She's so freaking awesome.

  • @ggforeigner yes she has.

  • bravo

  • Sorry, but you're wrong SuperGeofic,. It was written by Alice Cooper and Dick Wagner. The song was released in 1975. Julie Covington and also the GREAT Etta James both covered it in 1978. You can look it up if you don't believe me.

I really like this version, although it's such a great song, I've yet to hear a version that I didn't like (0:

  • @ch0pperPilot Thanks for the information. Wow! Julie Covington and Etta James. Like to hear that. It sort of misses the point when a woman sings it. The shocker was with Alice Cooper, dressed in drag, singing "come watch me bleed." That's Rock'n'Roll. Then men can see that they act like that. Domestic violence. Oh, now I get it. Tina might as well being singing "Ave Maria" here. She takes the whole point of the song and sugar coats it. She sings like Davey Jones of the Monkeys- in a dress.

  • @ch0pperPilot Thanks for this information. I am thinking of playing it out somewhere and the more versions I can hear the better.

  • its an awesome performance, think she has done a terrific version of this song which actually was originally done by julie covington then alice cooper

  • Beautiful!

  • IMPRESIONANTE, ES UNA CANTANTE IMPONENTE, LLEGA AL CORAZON Y EL ALMA

  • I think I'm in love.....:)

  • I think I'm in love!!! :)

  • "tina" you put me back in chains, well done

  • goosebumps at the 4:00 minute mark.......damn!!!

  • @BlaiseRogers it took that long? I had them within the first minute!

  • nice job she does with this alice cooper number..but checkout etta james's version for contrast...funny how an older woman gives an entirely different feel..a more tired out edge to the song..like shes been around the track a few times and is really fed up

  • beautiful Tina, you are still gorgeous with the utmost soft, delicate, harmonious, beautiful voice in the whole wide world....

  • Beautifull Lady , Beautifull song . Love Her

  • Great version...

  • Great version

  • I would do ANYTHING to hear Martha Wainwright sing this

  • Really great song. Very different rendition to what I've heard before, but great in its own right.

  • @a1193851 search for Julie Coventry's version.. might be similar

  • @IonaMackenzie I did a search and listened to Julie Covington's version but it's a very different rentition... different style and key as well :)

  • nice change from Alice Cooper...nice Job gal

  • An interesting interpretation! Though maybe a bit too refined, lacking some kind of energy, don't know... but impressive, anyroad.

  • i think it lacks emotion, or maybe anger...

  • Blasfem ..."never heard of Tina Arena.."...GOD...Shes "only" ONE OF the best singers in THE WORLD., A DIVA IN AUSTRALIA AND FRANCE..awarded several times, Medal of honours by France president, and so on...Try to get knonw of her work then.. Bless you.

  • did a beautiful job on this tina you rawk, and they not only bleed but suffer PMS cramping and bloating : )

  • A plus, Tina

  • Great voice!

  • it really gave me the chills, seriously

  • fucking gooooooood =)

  • is´n traum

  • she is very good!beautiful version!

  • Never heard of Tina Arena until now. As for her cover of Alice's song, well... she doesn't just cover it; she gets it. Bravo.

  • @KBAMVIDEOS Never! you dont have shame?

    tina is a big signer

  • Just beautiful. No more need be said.

  • Some great comments here.

A stirring orchestral rendition, shot live at the Air Studios in London, delivered with power and emotion.

You do us Aussies proud Tina!

    Fantastic!

  • This performance is simply incredible. Everything about it just ticks all the boxes. Would love to see and feel this live, would send chills down my spine.

  • With all respect to her voice, this song should never be sung by a woman!

Male respect instead of female self pity.

  • A bit bland. If you want to see raw vocal power and emotion and pure vocal STEEL, check out Julie Covingtons version. She was the ORIGINAL Evita back in the day.

  • Not bland at all. Pure... There's a difference.

I normally like Julie, but she's not good in this song.

Also... check out Tina's live performance of 'Don't Cry for Me...' Incredible...

  • sweet jesus that was brilliant!

  • amazing, she is great,

shame that she is not a super star in europe, we have here no sense for good music

  • The BEST interpretation of this song I have heard. Saw Tina live in Adelade in 1997 and she was fantastic. Very underrated artist in Australia.

  • Comment removed

  • Are you kidding? The best interpretation is and will always be Alice Cooper's !!

  • his wasn't an interpretation, his was the basis, the lifeblood that gave this song life and meaning. Tina interpreted his words and meaing the best out of all the cover artists.

  • She totally aced it..

  • Go Tina

  • Holy shit, she still has it!!!

  • Will this video be available in iTunes? Please!!!!

  • As always, amazing!!

  • Beautiful Tina, love it
