Ow, nice & funky -- wish I could do that..! Question: I see you're basically playing in E-dorian/blues, but what happens scale-wise from 2:18 onward, when you go more into that jazz-sound? Are those specific chords you arpeggiate? Please enlighten me!
Your house is full of treasures, computers, keyboards, a clavinet, speakers, some turntables, a drumset, a bass..I don't want fast cars or diamonds if I were rich, I want that house!
Thanks for all your comments! Tutorial… hmmm maybe not, but i'm actually showing the clav part in half tempo.. :-) no no- it's maybe more to do a series of videos about enjoying different kinds of music. I enjoy music a lot, playing, recording - making grooves. Because tutorials can be a little bit boring.. And the question about the pianosound.. It's because one of the best sounds to play with on a nord electro2 is the cp70 sound. (i think). Thanks for watching! /Daniel
Absolutely burning. This guy's a mu**afu**a, a real heavy player. Thank You rolferik95 - The groove is gr8, but it wasn't until I heard you start blowin' that I really realized how good u play. I find it difficult to solo freely, with laid-back syncopation, using an Acoustic Piano patch on a Nord (esp.Electro), because the keyboard response is built to emulate how a B3 Organ keyboard works (sound is triggered on the top of a key's travel), not like a piano or Rhodes (trigger point at bottom).
This reminds me of James Brown and his musicians. Each guy used to do a particular partial thing individually, and you mix all of them, you get a killer groove.
Ooh boy, nice interplay between the bass and clavinet parts man. It's quite Herbie. Why did you ruin it with acoustic piano though? Where's the Rhodes? What the hell.
funkin fantastic! the piano part fit in perfectly contrary to what someone said.
