Fuè lamejor interpretacìon de Bolero, yo tuve la oportunidad de verlo a èl bailarlo en vivo al aire libre (en el Monumento a la Bandera de Rosario con una luna llena bellìsima q' alumbraba su genio ) cuando ya estaba muy enfermo...el mismo año q' muriò...fuè increìble, gritaron y se emocionaron hasta las piedras. Nunca lo voy a olvidar...fuè un privilegio, un regalo...

Jorge Donn's was the best "Bolero's" interpretation of all. I had the opportunity to see him dance Bolero outdoors in my city Rosario in Argentina with a wonderfull full moon lighting his talent,he was already sick,he died that year. Was just amazing, magic, everybody cried and was moved for his interpretation. It was a privilege for me, a gift from life I'll never forget. Thanks Jorge you were unic... wherever you are,i'm sure you must be dancing..

Jorge Donn was born in Argentina, but also trained at the Colón Theatre. This is a real Argentinian talent trained in Argentina, who had a chance in a prestigious dancers company because of his talent and background. I think he should be very highly regarded, so much more we do in our country. It´s a pitty, because he wasn´t a prophet in his own land.

Hi - I got an Arte DVD recording of the Paris ballet d'Opera which contains the Bolero in full by the same Jorge Don (I think - he looks the same). It was broadcast on New Years Eve 2008.
I've seen him at the Monnaie in Brussels when I was a child and I still remember him vividly .. a salute to him and to Maurice Béjart ...unforgettable, both of them , a never-ending emotion and memory

Los criticos de arte en general son fustrados en su materia... la representacion esta buenisima y es adecuada a su epoca... y sigue conmoviendo despues de decadas.... el baile, la pintura, etc si bien suele signars por la atemporalidad, no puede dejarse de contextualizar... y valorarse teniendo en cuenta esta particularidad.
A los que me responden les digo que no es necesario descollar en una actividad para realizar un comentario. Se mucho de danza por haberla practicado y por haberla filmado en forma profesional.
Y he filmado a los mas grandes.
No tengo que presentar un trabjo de danzas mio para opinar, es un error de concepto de todos los que me responden .

Después aprendí danzas...y ahora la veo tan minima, tan exenta de originalidad y a un Jorge Don con tan pocos recursos expresivos que no lo puedo creer.
Tanto aprendiste que finalmente comentas por youtube y no demuestras lo contrario en algun verdadero escenario. Si tal es el caso, muestranos lo que sabes hacer en algun link, gracias.

i must admit that ,while this had no affect on me while he was dancing alone, i kinda fell in love with it when all the dancers stood up and joined him. fucking amazing. almost feels like some sort of dancing soul-cleansing. lovely lovely stuff.
ya, you'll get lotz of haterz on this 1.- peeps that go 4 the drama and the over the top stuff...this takes lots of discipline an claissical undersanding of many techniques. Great work by great dancers. Hopefully not a lost art form.
I am from Argentina and feel proud that such a great dancer was born in my country. He has been famous all over the world. God bless him !!! Will never forget him.

It is amazing, I saw this performance in Rio de Janeiro, many years ago!!! Good memeories about the great event in Rio, was open air by the Guanabara Bay. Wonderful!!!
One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen! I remember Jorge Donn in Rio, 1989, and he was amazing! It was very hot that night, his hair flying and the sweat rolling down through his body... Pure poetry!

It is amazing, I saw this performance in Rio de Janeiro, many years ago!!! Good memeories about the great event in Rio, was open air by the Guanabara Bay. Wonderful!!!

One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen! I remember Jorge Donn in Rio, 1989, and he was amazing! It was very hot that night, his hair flying and the sweat rolling down through his body... Pure poetry!
