btw i still owned my original Sega Game Gear that I had for over ten years(came out in the 90s) until I gave it away (becuase i had no more room for it) i gave it away in 2003 and guess what? i have the original psp... its garbage it breaks so easy. My nephew broke 2 psp's and we had to stop buying him more becuase they break so easy. I took care of mines and it broke as well... the charger port just ko'ed for no reason so i cant charge my battery. My nephew's just stopped turning on(both of them!!!! WTF?). I used my psp as a mp3 player when i wasn't gaming. I won't be buying another sony gaming product.... they make them so breakable to force you to buy another asap.

@MasSergioVEVO You cant relate that to all there products, the PS2 was reliable as well as the later PS1 modle (the slim) and so is the PS3 (with a 2% failure rate) also take note alot of people still have working psp's since the original modle, some people jsut have bad luck.

It really wounldnt get that much smaller from just removing the card 'feature.' either way, the vita can already just download games from the psn store and store them on sony's new proprietary memory card (made for the vita)

The reason i stopped using my PSP 1000 and bought the PSP Go is so i could bring it with me and play it when i'm bored but that's just not possible with a PSP 1000 and i heard the PS Vita is even bigger than the PSP. I'll most likely buy it however it'd be used more as a console than a legit portable handheld.

Since the PS Vita won't be using discs it will not be fully backwards compatible with the PSP. Some games will however be available through download from the PSP to the Vita.
