I just got the Mackie controller, I connected the contorller via USB, I am using Pro Tools 8 on XP SP3. When I try to add the Mackie as a control surface Pro Tools to does not see the controller which means I can't select it. Has anyone run into this issue? I found someone who had the same problem and they stated they uninstalled SP3 and down graded to SP2 then it worked?
I'm still lookin for one...what would you say is the better for pro tools the mackie or a digidesign 003 Factory "not the rack one" I need to get soon. I just don't know what one to pick
Am I the only one who noticed the first fader didn't ever move?

Yea it's a real good mixer. I wish I wouldn't have sold it, but I'll eventually buy another one.

Yea, I'm actually using Pro Tools M-Powered right now with the Firewire 1814. You won't have any issues getting the controller to sync.
