I went to the titanic exhibit last February when it was setup up in London. It was amazing. I bought a piece of coal retrieved from the wreckage and even touched a piece of the titanic itself. Great experience :)
@jesmmifs The exhibit is really memorable. I didn't buy anything, but got the "boarding pass" of the passenger I represented at the dinner. Thanks for commenting!
What a sweet video, your hubby and you seemed to enjoy yourselves a greyt deal. My friends and I are working on recreating the dinner at home and will post the video as well if we ever get to make it.
The Titanic Exhibit is now in our Science Centre in Calgary!
I am so eager to go to it but the entry fee is so expensive and the annual pass is not worth it for us because we do not go to Science Centre everyday...
I dont think they are offering Titanic style dinner tho...
betty, what was the name of the dessert? it looked delicious! did you make a video of the recipe? if not, could you please make a video for that dessert?
@guitarlover1216 I just answered you about the dessert I had this visit to the Galt House. Maybe you were referring to the other visit? It was a meringue with fruit, and the dessert was flamed. I didn't make a video of it.
I love your husband's accent! LOL - I've been to Galt House years ago; went for a convention; it is a neat old place. I love Louisville period! Your meal looked great.
Betty, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Special touch was at the end when you two were assigned a boarding pass and the info you shared. I loved it :-) Very nice ending!
the smithsonian has a pendulum clock similar but larger than the one shown here. I was in the sixth grade when my friend and I synchronized our casio's to it. thanks for the memory
Oh My, that was FANTASTIC! I would have just loved to have been there in person to see the artifacts and to enjoy that lovely meal, although all those courses would have been too much! but alas it is not possible but maybe one day I will visit there but in the meantime I have to say "Thankyou to you both very much for taking us along with you on such a WONDERFUL! Hi Betty and Rick, thank you so much for sharing this experience with us. the dinner looked lovely and the exhibit sounds really interesting. btw i love your dress! :)
Dear Betty and Rick, today I didnt particularly feel that well, the weather is very overcast and rainy, and generally my spirits were down, but watching your video brought a smile to my face..thank you..so so interesting. You two are great people to share your experiences with others. I felt like I was right with you, Betty..thank you so so much. Hugs from Rhode Island
I hope you are feeling better today! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It didn't have good lighting and wasn't very clear, but I am glad you could feel the experience. Thanks for your love and support, even when you were not feeling your best! You are a great friend!
@bettyskitchen hi betty!! i've been watching your videos all afternoon getting ideas for my 1st thanksgiving dinner :) i'm 26 years old but i LOVE to cook but i need all the help i can get! Anyway, do you think you could give us mom's any quick ideas for our kids lunch boxes?? my kindergartener has had his fair share of ham and cheese sandwiches and peanut butter and jelly :) any help would be appreciated! keep up the great work!!!! and THANK YOU!
Let me think about this a bit! I need to get into the kid frame of mind. I've done many finger sandwiches and treats, but most of them are more appropriate for a ladies' luncheon or reception. I know you need something that is filling, but not full of fat and sugar. I will be taking a couple of weeks away from YouTube starting later this week, and I will have a chance to give this some thought. I hope I will be able to come up with something that you can use!
The Titanic exhibit is so interesting - I went to see the original exhibit back in the early 90's at Greenwich and also another smaller exhibit at the Science Musuem (both here in London) - it was truly amazing - what a shame you couldn't film it, however, the dining room looks very glam, and so do you!! :)
Thanks for your lovely comment! I was very disappointed that I couldn't film the artifacts from the Titanic, but the Titanic meal was really wonderful! I'm glad you came along!
We did have a great time. We had been to that restaurant before, but the Titanic twist made it more interesting! I wish the lighting had been better, so that everything could have been clearer. I think you would have appreciated the preparation of the foods--It was a very interesting combination of flavors. Thanks for viewing and commenting! Have a great evening/night, Jimmy!
Thanks for letting us join you on your trip. As always, really quite interesting and informative. Those desserts were something else....wow. And a nice history lesson to boot! Thanks again.
Well the women wouldn't have been able to due to the restriction of their corsets and gowns. And it wouldn't have been considered proper for a woman to over-eat...a well-kept woman would eat well of course, but elegant table manners would dictate she would do more tasting rather than finishing everything put infront of her.
Hi Betty & Rick! Loved the field trip, loved that dress you wore so pretty! You and Rick looked so elegant and charming together..hope you had a wonderful evening out. Thank you for the tagalong, I really enjoyed it. Too bad we couldnt have a taste, haha..but for a second I thought I could smell it, lol. (((Hugs))) to both of you and thanks again for all u do!----Angie
Thanks Betty and Rick for taking me along on the field trip to Louisville. What a beautiful place. I loved that black and white dress you wore to the beautiful revolvin restaurant. It was breath taking and Rick looked fabulous as well.

This was beautiful Betty! Loved this video. It's so much fun to see these different places. What was the best thing you tasted? I bet the dessert and coffee were decadent! Mmmmm! You and Rick looked amazing! Happy Holidays and hugs!
Thanks for your sweet comment, Amy! I can't decide between the filet mignon, the dessert, and the French baguette with pesto butter! I know that makes me sound like a glutton, but they were all good! Thanks for the lovely comment! I would like to do the salad, but I'm at a loss as to where to find Peruvian potatoes! I might work on that!
