@scumgod13 the authorities were wrong to try to shut down that clinic if in fact there was no better alternative (that place did not look exactly clinical), but they were absolutely right to allow people to defend themselves, esp. since they (the police) were obviously not doing so.

There was and is a very strong racist overtone existing in New Orleans to rid the city of poor minorities .This is one of the reason why the poor people feel such a abysmal sense of utter hopelessness, and the propensity for violence in the wards: and would you believe the government refuse aid from other nations wanting to give money and send aid. It is the most shameful thing I have seen during my lifetime. The Red Cross and FEMA did all they could to stop help getting to Black people.
