I don't know who claimed that Lewis Latimer invited the light bulb (they would be incorrect), but to suggest he did nothing to further or improve upon the light bulb is absurd. There were many patents, inventors, methods, and manufacturers during this time so of course all had different impacts. Latimer and Hiram Maxim did improve the light bulb, to what extent will always be in debate, but the fact that they improved on it is not even a question. I'm sorry, but that is also incorrect. The idea of a spherical Earth was developed in Greek astronomy, by Pythagoras, ca. 600 B.C. The idea that educated people at the time of Columbus believed in a flat Earth, or that his voyages disproved it, has been referred to as "The Myth of the Flat Earth". Galileo had nothing to do with it.

I don't know who claimed that Lewis Latimer invited the light bulb (they would be incorrect), but to suggest he did nothing to further or improve upon the light bulb is absurd. There were many patents, inventors, methods, and manufacturers during this time so of course all had different impacts. Latimer and Hiram Maxim did improve the light bulb, to what extent will always be in debate, but the fact that they improved on it is not even a question. In other words this whole post is superfluous.

I'm sorry, but that is also incorrect. The idea of a spherical Earth was developed in Greek astronomy, by Pythagoras, ca. 600 B.C. The idea that educated people at the time of Columbus believed in a flat Earth, or that his voyages disproved it, has been referred to as "The Myth of the Flat Earth". Galileo had nothing to do with it.
Yet another myth that you believe as true.

The truth is, Europe has believed the Earth was round for quite a few thousand years, and belief that we didn't discover it until Galileo is one of the biggest myths in modern teaching.
Sort of like "Black Invention" myths. Ironic, huh?
