@Pashtun717 Not really. I was at work and a coworker of mine said that we were down there, because everybody from the Middle East is a Muslim terrorist and wants to kill us. I about fell out of my chair! Realize that some people listen to jargon and dispense with the rest. I tried to explain what really goes on, like my friend "Simon" who gave a Qur'an as a gift. If he wanted to kill me, it must have been with knowledge of the the recitation. "Simon" was an Iraqi interpreter for us.

The first few years of my service were good, because I was "defending freedom", not murdering innocent people...I was a "protector of American rights", not a pawn shoved into senseless combat against resourced countries. Who believes the "conspiracies" the "terrorists" tell you, anyway? < I am thankful that I got out, when I realized what the problem was. @lynnej1970 Oh, I am THE conspiracy theorist, and I have a coworker who said all Arabs are terrorists and should be killed, because all they do is kill one another. Umm, obviously American media is a good (terrible) programming device. I had to go to BBC and other news sources to find out most news about other parts of Iraq, when I was there. My husband is an Army Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment. He's been on 7 deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Good vid. I feel that being a soldier is about grinding down the man and making a warrior. However, this usually creates a person who loses the plot, left to rot when the state is done with him. There are seious consequences to neglecting men in this state of mind, and it is very sad what they are often forced to go through.
