One of the ONLY things that is harder about being a marine is the basic training and the fact you get deployed to battle situations.

As a U.S. Marine myself, you are not a Marine, and you don't know what it is like. There are dumb marines out there, but it would be the same ratio as dumb soldiers, dumb airmen, or dumb seamen. To single out the Marines is bull. To be a Marine takes more discipline than any other branch. Many Marines do act stupid, as I do myself, but when the poo hits the fan, we get the job done, period.
Not true about it takes more for marines. Are you Army..? Are you an Airman..? Technically speaking, no branch is better than the other, they all have their idiots, they all have their smart ones, but everything they do is pretty much exqual in some way. The way you can get killed out in the field, my husband can just as easily die from fixing an aircraft because his job is one of the most dangerous in the AF.
Also try being a linguist too, THAT IS harder than being a marine period, DLI is the second hardest Tech School to go to period, the only other one is a Navy one.
Just because I am not a marine, doesn't mean I was not raised as a marines granddaughter, or a marines daughter's daughter. It's hard, your have expectations put on you higher than you can accomplish sometimes. Being a realative to a marine is hell and so being a marine is harder.
Not knowing when you're gonna get sent off or even if you are going to come back from that deployment. So don't go and say that because I am not a marine, that I don't know them, or what they go through because I do.
What happens out in the field, yall are good. But who do you call to bring the rain when you in over your head..? The Air Force, same with army, who do they call.
So a 6 week basic training for airmen where PT consists of Drill Sergeants yelling "Run Faster, Run Faster," or 9 weeks for a soldier's basic training where Drill Sergeants qualify for their recruits on the M16. I know airmen and soldiers, and that is BS any way you look at it. I know many more Marines that i do servicemembers from other branches, and I have never heard of anything like that happening in the Corps.
Oh really..? All I have ever heard is that they can't get this job done without the help of the AF, or this mission will be a failure without the help of the AF.
I love ALL things military, and I grew up military, and I know from my grandfather, that many times, the marines needed the USAF's help or it was their butts, and my gramps is hardcore.
I don't want to argue with a bunch of people who think they can prove some "kid" wrong. I don't speak unless what I say is fact, hence the fact since I got on Youtube, you don't see me talk much.
What do you do, you call for the nearest cruiser to send out a couple of aircraft. So sometimes, ya'll cannot handle it because you're overrun, so also think about that a second. Didn't think I knew about that aspect of battle did you, have lead shot at you not quite shure how it's gonna end up so you have to work together to get through it and sometimes you loose a comrade that might've been a friend.
I know all to well it's only in a dire situation, but still, who do you always call, the AF or a Navy ship that has the AF planes or copters on it.
And no I don't get that from movies. I saw all that in Basic training, the videos of what we as an AF had to do, and that was part of our mission was to maintain a deadly AF and to help out our other branches when they needed us.
You realize that the Marine has Air too right? I mean little guys called pilots or as you might say dumb pilots that support operations right. I love all branches and observed red horse work like crazy BUT they don't carry weapons much, because not that many go outside the wire like the dumb ones. Check faces of Valor and see how amny airman there are there but there are a lot of what you would call dumb ones. My guess is you dated a Marine before and it didnt go well.
There's a lot more Airmen outside the wire than most people know about.
But, yes, the USMC has air support, but not in any major way. Their's is mostly close air support and short-range transportation. Same with the ships they use. They have their own river boats, etc, but they ride to the AO on Navy ships.
Yes there is Air Force outside the wire, the ones that leave on accident, the ones that heard that there is a bar , OK just kidding, no let me clear this up I am not dogging the USAF, I have seen RED HORSE work and they are awesome, but lets be real this deadly air force is deadly from the sky and not from running route clearance, and partrols and the like, yeah yeah combat controllers, but yeah uh no

yeah your right I forgot to to mention that the USAF runs the R&R in Qatar. I love all branches and yes they all do thier part, I wouldnt go any where with out the Navy Corpsman, the Army flew the CASVAC's which of course they are awesome. But I will not sit here and agree with the perception that the vast majority or more than I know of the air force goes out side the wire routinly. In the air of course but in up armored or non up armored vehicles daily, NO and you know it.
Just a note to everyone who sees my several comments, since it can't be more than 500 characters (which actually isn't all that fair, but it's fine, I can deal with that to get what I need to say out, just it may or may not be 2-7 comments long depending on what it is ) I am done ranting for the moment until I notice someone else says something that irks me.

Correction, alot of marines are stupid, but there are those who take their jobs seriously and are halfway decent, the older ones are good. The youngers ones, are really dumb.

And no I am not going back on the competition thing, just the thing about the new blood marines, except for the ones doing the stuff they are supposed to, the ones out drinking and partying need to learn what it is to be a military memeber and stop disgracing the U.S. beloved military period. Hey NotsoOldhippy you forget that people are more educated and informed more then they ever had been and yes I don't agree with the war but let me say this those Men and Women who wear the uniform are loved by this country they are our brothers, and sisters. uh that was Edwards Air Force Base, so yeah the reflective belt was Air Force, and theres actually alot of Army Navy and Marines that are stationed at Air Force Bases, like wise there is also several Airmen stationed at Army Forts Navy Ports and Marine Camps

And to the someone who says I write too much, if it is needed to write alot to get someones point across, or to get the thoughts out, that is what words and freedom of exprssion is about. Now if it was a forum, it would be all in one little, nice, neat post but it is not. If you had read all of my comments instead of what you wanted, you would have seen I said alot of them are dumb, not all or that not to offend the vets, but all the young bloods have been disgacing their core they claim to hold so high. I know the meaning of Semper Fi, and I know the life of a marine, so do not go there with me, or you'll find with my young years, I know and have been through near as much or have ben through as much as you in equal amounts.

One of the ONLY things that is harder about being a marine is the basic training and the fact you get deployed to battle situations.
Want to see if I don't know about being a marine..?
And yes the young bloods are highly dumb nowadays, are good in a shootout or a brawl, but the newbies, thats all they are really good for besides partying like idiots.

As a U.S. Marine myself, you are not a Marine, and you don't know what it is like. There are dumb marines out there, but it would be the same ratio as dumb soldiers, dumb airmen, or dumb seamen. To single out the Marines is bull. To be a Marine takes more discipline than any other branch. Many Marines do act stupid, as I do myself, but when the poo hits the fan, we get the job done, period.

Not true about it takes more for marines. Are you Army..? Are you an Airman..? Technically speaking, no branch is better than the other, they all have their idiots, they all have their smart ones, but everything they do is pretty much exqual in some way. The way you can get killed out in the field, my husband can just as easily die from fixing an aircraft because his job is one of the most dangerous in the AF.

Also try being a linguist too, THAT IS harder than being a marine period, DLI is the second hardest Tech School to go to period, the only other one is a Navy one.
Just because I am not a marine, doesn't mean I was not raised as a marines granddaughter, or a marines daughter's daughter. It's hard, your have expectations put on you higher than you can accomplish sometimes. Being a realative to a marine is hell and so being a marine is harder.

Not knowing when you're gonna get sent off or even if you are going to come back from that deployment. So don't go and say that because I am not a marine, that I don't know them, or what they go through because I do.
What happens out in the field, yall are good. But who do you call to bring the rain when you in over your head..? The Air Force, same with army, who do they call.

So a 6 week basic training for airmen where PT consists of Drill Sergeants yelling "Run Faster, Run Faster," or 9 weeks for a soldier's basic training where Drill Sergeants qualify for their recruits on the M16. I know airmen and soldiers, and that is BS any way you look at it. I know many more Marines that i do servicemembers from other branches, and I have never heard of anything like that happening in the Corps.

Oh really..? All I have ever heard is that they can't get this job done without the help of the AF, or this mission will be a failure without the help of the AF.
I love ALL things military, and I grew up military, and I know from my grandfather, that many times, the marines needed the USAF's help or it was their butts, and my gramps is hardcore.

What do you do, you call for the nearest cruiser to send out a couple of aircraft. So sometimes, ya'll cannot handle it because you're overrun, so also think about that a second. Didn't think I knew about that aspect of battle did you, have lead shot at you not quite shure how it's gonna end up so you have to work together to get through it and sometimes you loose a comrade that might've been a friend.

I know all to well it's only in a dire situation, but still, who do you always call, the AF or a Navy ship that has the AF planes or copters on it.
And no I don't get that from movies. I saw all that in Basic training, the videos of what we as an AF had to do, and that was part of our mission was to maintain a deadly AF and to help out our other branches when they needed us.

You realize that the Marine has Air too right? I mean little guys called pilots or as you might say dumb pilots that support operations right. I love all branches and observed red horse work like crazy BUT they don't carry weapons much, because not that many go outside the wire like the dumb ones. Check faces of Valor and see how amny airman there are there but there are a lot of what you would call dumb ones. My guess is you dated a Marine before and it didnt go well.

There's a lot more Airmen outside the wire than most people know about.
But, yes, the USMC has air support, but not in any major way. Their's is mostly close air support and short-range transportation. Same with the ships they use. They have their own river boats, etc, but they ride to the AO on Navy ships.

yeah your right I forgot to to mention that the USAF runs the R&R in Qatar. I love all branches and yes they all do thier part, I wouldnt go any where with out the Navy Corpsman, the Army flew the CASVAC's which of course they are awesome. But I will not sit here and agree with the perception that the vast majority or more than I know of the air force goes out side the wire routinly. In the air of course but in up armored or non up armored vehicles daily, NO and you know it.

Correction, alot of marines are stupid, but there are those who take their jobs seriously and are halfway decent, the older ones are good. The youngers ones, are really dumb.
Just so our vets know I am not saying they are bad, just the new blood act dumb and don't take responsiblity for their actions.
