( ONLY), I did buy an HDMI Splitter which has an HDMI ( FEMALE) and DVI-D ( FEMALE) and i got myself an DVI-D cabel AND got an DVI-I to VGA adapter ( FEMALE - MALE) and connectet all these cabels and when i turned on ps3 and hold the button to reset, the monitor says " No signals detected " WHAT DID I DO WRONG???

@manny9068 Try switching it on so the light is red, then HOLD the POWER BUTTON until it beeps once. Keep holding it until it beeps twice. It should come on your TV. (It probably happened because you adjusted it to your friend's TV settings) Good Luck!

@sssammy6 turn your ps3 on then hold the on button till it goes off. then after that hold it again til it goes on and off. then hold it again till it does beep.....beep beep then you can let go and connect the controller through usb. then hit restart system. it will reset the screen settings

@TheRealDoctorBonkus Your monitor is prorobly not HDCP compattible (look up HDCP i cant give you a definition off hte top of my head) mine said hte same thing for the same reason. You need to buy a new monitor that is HDCP compatible if you want it to work the're is NO OTHER option unless you want to stick with a TV or use your laptop.

@50kamakazi05 dude, a monitor is like a tv, the tower/ desktop has hard drive, processor, video card etc, all u need is an hdmi to dvi cable and a stereo adapter for your av cable to plug into your speakers. processor has nothing to do with monitor, just make sure ur monitor is working, lol

may i ask how big that lg monitor of yours is? cause my monitor is a 20" samsung (up to 1680x1050) and im not sure if this cable would actually display any picture, since it's not capable of displaying 1920x1080, so what will it do, downscale to 720p or what? im not really into these kinds of things and dont own an hd tv, so i'd appreciate an answer because this is really important to me...

@anakinsf while your ps3 is on standby, try holding the power button. holding the power button when turning on your ps3 will reset the video settings to default.

there is no DVI-d or b one port is called DVI and other port is called VGA VGA is the one which usually goes in the back of ur CPU for ya kind information .......lmao
