12 mm lead is the perfect hunting ammo for high powered hunting catapults the less speed your getting the heavier the ammo needed, 9mm steel is good for practice but not heavy enough to penetrate feathers, or stop a rabbit from running back to its hole before it dies.
caliber 45 do SUCK! i shoot wood pigeons straight through the dome! with a 45 i would probably destroy the whole head! thats just overkill, and not right. 6 to 8mm steel for clean head shots, and they drop clean!
