  • Love this band then and now and forever .Just the shit .witty, musical, cute . English POP perfection ....

  • who plays the patient?????

  • ONE FUTURE IN A BRITISCH STEEL........FUCK THIS WORLD.....

  • My names Nigel and I make my own plans..!

  • My friends dad knows Andy Partridge personally :D He also managed to get me the dissapointed radios in motion and another cd :D

  • Man, I haven't seen this video in like 30 years....

  • one of the best songs of all time

  • "he has his future in a British Steel" therefore Nigel is happy in his WORK not world.

  • @MoistCheese2

Actually i think he says work a few times and world the last. Innit?

  • in his work

  • awesome

  • my irl name is nigel :D

  • Nigel's parents have the perfect plan to fit Nigel properly into society. They want him to succeed. Unfortunately for NIgel, his talents may not coincide with his parent's desires. "We only want what's best for him." "NIgel's whole future is as good as sealed." NIgel has other ideas and plans for himself. Consequently, NIgel is tragically sad. Nigel feels only happy "in his world." In summary, think for yourself and make your own decisions. (but, take some advice, too)

  • @christopherm2k But the lyric sheet says "in his WORK". I'd always thought (and many people assume) that they said "world" - it just fits, "in his world" his better...

  • @dummytree *is better, sorry...

  • @dummytree YEAH I'M THINKIN IN HIS WORLD

  • what's the song all about?

  • Thumbs up if you think Andy Partridge looks creepy with that make up on.

  • @1rhpsfan he looks like the joker

  • Nigel, I feel your pain

  • I always thought these guys were good musicians.

These old videos may look primitive today, but when I was a teen we got so excited over videos! Maybe because they were rationed out to us...hence the phrase "I want my - (you know)"

I think 80's music has endured because it was so important to us back then, music is NOT disposable when you are using your weekly allowance to get it.

  • I've always loved this song, is part of our pathways to be really free...

    almost for me.

    XTC are simply great!

  • An amazing song...

  • Damn i love this song. Too good.

  • England 2010 world cup winners

  • @philipkent07

    fail

  • my brother's name is Nigel, sadly he died young, the lyrics always bring a tear to my eye.

  • My son's name is nigel

  • I love the "Aouuuh" between lyrics :-)

  • An insanely hypnotic riff. One of my all time fav songs

  • Hooray! First coment ACTION!
