Look at crutches/zimmer frames etc for some strong and light structures that if you are lucky will be the right size for your dog. Also just to let you know most most people think it is a great idea making a wheelchair for your dog but be prepared incase you come across one of the simple minded opinionated people who think it is cruel. You know your dog, and you are the only one who can tell if they are comfortable and enjoying the new lease of life or vis versa. Your dog comes first ;)good luck
Anyone looking for plans sorry I haven't had the opportunity to post any, I have been extremely busy the passed year and when I made it it was made from quick sketches on random bits of paper and trial and error. When I do get the time I will definitely draw up or record some plans and post them up. In the mean time the way I got started was by having a look around the internet at some of the existing ones and go from there.
