  • Cannot hold my laughing and fall off from chair...

  • @leaflute Glad that you enjoyed our unusual sounds on this famous song! Merry Christmas!!

  • Wow! I Don't Know If You Remember Me, But I Was One Of Your Students At Longstreth. I Remember You Did The HandWhistling For Our Class. And I Participated In Your Choir. It's Been A Long Time :) wow ...

  • hhahahhaa.... oh my god, you guys are so amazing and amusing!! I love it!!!

    Thanks for the entertainment!! :-)))

  • @kumhuimusicgirl Kumhui- Thank you for watching! Glad that you enjoyed this. There are two videos up here of when I was on the Tonight Show back in 1979. The first part has the interview and the second part is me performing "What kind of fool am I". Enjoy the rest of your day.

  • Ben, Ben, Ben, you are super awesome, wow, having to meet those famous celebs, you simply are amazing! What a unique talent you have, im simply proud of you! ;D

  • @albrenza Lea- It was great deal of fun! There is a video called "Behind the scenes on the Tonight Show 2001" where a video was shot by the wife of one of the members of our trio. It shows us getting out of the Limo in the parking lot next to Jay Leno's motorcycle, in our dressing rooms, and deciding which songs we were going to perform with the talent coordinator listening. If it doesn't come up under the title, try The Three Tendons or Ben Brenner.

  • ...very ENTERTAINING!!!lol lol

  • @orgelnam08 Victoria- You came back to watch me on this Show again! Glad that you enjoyed it. The videos of my 1979 Tonight Show appearance are also up here. I was only twenty six years old then. David Letterman was the guest host of the Tonight Show that evening. The first video is Part one where I am interviewed. You will have lots of laughs from that. The second one is me Handwhistling "What kind of fool am I" Have a great night!

  • unique,fantastic!

  • @orgelnam08 Victoria- Thank you for watching! I am so glad that you were entertained by this video. Happy New Year!

  • the comedians make fun of everything, don't even spare the most serious matters. n i think david letterman really has a nasty sense of humor when he said those word to you back to 1979. practically he was making fun of ur rare talent n i reaLLY didn't like it.

  • @Greatwomengirls ZinniA- I was treated like Royalty in 1979 by Letterman. He gave me an idea of what some of the questions would be when we were backstage. I also had a full ten minutes on the Show. He really was quite nice especially after I finished by performance. If it were Johnny Carson who had been there that night, he would have made fun of me!

  • Ben, That was awesome, so the Jay Leno Show too! I know u said u had done quite a few shows, but Wow...that is cool, your the absolute best! You showed that piano dude that note! Looks like u guys had alot of fun too, and you didn't look nervous or anything, so cool, you owned that one, -Shannon

  • That was excellent, I've been watching Leno for years almost everyday, can't believe I missed this one.

  • @MortaniusTaijou Well, I am glad that you got to see it here! Did you also watch my Tonight Show appearance in 1979 which is up here in two parts? David Letterman guest hosted that evening for Johnny Carson. Have a great week.

  • @HandwhistlerBen Yes I saw that one actually before clicking on the Leno one. Crowds in the 1970s are easier to impress than the 2000s, and what you did on that show was impressive.

When I saw that it was on Leno in 2001, I was really surprised. That's awesome! :D

  • @MortaniusTaijou Yes, the audiences were genuinely interested in giving people a chance to show their skills without prejudice back in the '70's. I had performed a great deal and had recently performed in two major venues where I got newspaper coverage. The Tonight Show talent coordinator saw the articles and contacted my College, then sent a letter to my Parents address. They told me to call the Tonight Show and Handwhistle for them. I was accepted on the spot. 1st class tickets were sent

  • Priceless! And I'd forgotten all about Green Acres LOL!

  • I am so glad that you took the time to watch and comment on this video. I don't know how I missed replying to you. Thank you.

  • The Three Tendons LMAO !! Ya know Ben I think I actually remember seeing this way back then. It's very familiar to me.

I'm stuck on your channel, somebody stop me!!

  • Thank you for stopping by. You can stay here as long as you want, whenever you want!

  • Wow ! Ben you are famous my friend.I didn't know you were on the Jay Leno show..Great Talent you have,5 *****..Marc Jones..Los Angeles,U.S.A. (Vocalist)

  • Marc, my hard work first paid off when I was 26 in 1979 and a guest on the Tonight Show, with David Letterman guest hosting. I was also on the Mike Douglas Show. In 2002, I was on 30 seconds to fame with the Tendons. I have improved over these thirty years....check out some of my current videos..... Take care......

  • hahaha...flinstones!!!!..u guys are awesome..where are the two other guys now?..i like this video...faved and 5*****

  • Glad that enjoyed this. This little trio lasted from November of 2000 to the end of 2002. We performed on 30 seconds to fame, performed with a professional orchestra, and did other TV and stage performances. Jim Rotondo and Bruce Gaston are up here under the FOUR SQUEEZINS. One is a teacher, like myself, and the other designs web pages......

  • You must be loving youtube for sharing your talent!! I wish you all the best and thank you for subscribing to my channel as well!!

    Dave

  • I put up 34 videos, both past and present which demonstrate the full essence of what my Handwhistling playing can sound like. There are many other Handwhistlers and Handflute Players up here who play differently than me, in the way they hold their hands, style of music, and sound qualities. Check them out....There is handsplay, hamderhahamder, and Handflute and Piano...Childhood, and many others.....

  • Great show! Such a great talent!

  • David- Thank you fpr the comment here and for subscribing. I did the same for you. It was just luck that I was the right place at the right time with a novelty musical talent for me to be on the Tonight Show in 1979 as well as this one. Forty three years of practice and many other instruments plus singing taken to a semi professional level....

  • That was absolutely hilarious and virtuosic at the same time!

  • I was the straight man. These guys and I got together for the first time in November of 2000, put together our musical expertise, developed a repertoire and sent a video out to the Tonight Show. We were asked on in February, 2001. The right timing again, with the right product.....I have been so lucky! Listen to my rendition of Schubert's "Ave Maria" which is up here......

  • I love the hand whistle, I know how to make the hand noise but how do you get the pitch

  • Glad that you enjoyed this video. I squeeze the palms of my hands closer or farther away to change the it pitch. Have a Merry Christmas. Forty three years of practice....

  • SENSATIONAL!! :-)

  • Glad that you found this to your liking.....

  • i always wanted to be in a trio (like the belmonts)what great group very talented i love it

  • Thank you for this wonderful comment. I hope that you enjoy the rest of these videos...

  • Pretty impressive!!...5*****!!!!!....xoxo

  • Thank you so much for your comment. There are over twenty five other videos up here, and more will be coming. Please subscribe if you have not already done so....

  • THanks Roeleke

  • Thank you for stopping by...

  • Just great. HAHAHA!!!! What a fantastic clip. Do you play funerals, too? Awesome!!! 5stars.

  • Thank you for watching BennyComa... Anything the audience wants I can perform... Any emotions that are needed on any other instruments can be done Handwhistling. You have a great sample in the twenty five videos up here.... Take care....

  • Ha! that was great! They stole the show with thier performances, loved it. Thanks Roeleke. Joey

  • I appreciate your comments. The Three Tendons were only together for a few months before we submitted an audition tape to the Tonight Show. We stayed together for two years...Check out my other videos and see so much more of what can be done as a Handwhistler and with other instruments....

  • Very very original, SUPER, thanks Roeleke

  • Thank you for commenting...There are twenty five other videos up here with all different types of music, singing, and using other instruments along with my Handwhistling. Thank you Roeleke!

  • loved it

  • Thank you for stopping by....

  • Crazy! But great.

  • Yes, this was the Zany part of my Handwhistling career. My other twenty five videos show me in a different light.... Thank you for commenting....

  • I enjoy things like these. You know making that noise with the hands, I also can do, but I cannot play a melody yet, hihi, I just never practiced that!

Thank you for these wonderful shows. I both shared your videos with my friends!

    Roeleke

  • Glad that you enjoyed it Roeleke! Keep practicing and you will be playing songs before you know it! You are a fine organist and who knows what else......

  • 5/5!

  • Thank you so much for commenting.....

  • Just amazing!

  • These two shows were a great deal of fun to do. Check out two other Handwhistlers: handsplay, and gegegenonewmusic. There is also spitnspike, and Sally the Handwhistler.

  • Outstanding! Five stars! :-) -Derek

  • Thank you for watching and I am glad that you enjoyed this. We were cut short. We had two other songs to play.....

  • very nice! impressive

  • I started clapping when you did "The Flinstones" too!

  • Thank you for your comment. It was just luck and timing that The Three Tendons got onto the Tonight Show in 2001. It was fun, even though we only had a short time......

  • Very Impressive.

Very cool that you guys were on the tonight show. 5 Stars

    Shane

  • It was just luck and timing... I was on the Tonight Show by myself in 1979, which I have slit into two videos up here on Youtube. Keep up your great work!

  • hehe that looked like fun. funny too. great job.

  • wa.

  • xD cool

  • Thank you for your comment! Answering your last comment, I don't consider myself a "God" at Handwhistling. There is a fellow in Japan that holds his hands differently and gets a different sound. He is only 25 and we can each do things that the other one can't do. He is my friend. There are many other Handwhistlers out there. I have put all of these videos up since July, because I am 55 now, and it is getting harder and harder to keep my Handwhistling on this professional level.

  • Is he the one who did "Flight of the Bumble hand?

  • No, I believe that was ewcy. Mitsuhiro, in Japan is absolutely amazing, as is handsplay, who is three years older than I am. These two guys hold their hands the same. I am the one who does it differently than everyone!

  • Oh ok, by the way sqeezing my hands closer together to change notes works very well,do you have any other tips for me? You've helped me so much already. ROCK ON!!! Whooooo!

  • I squeeze in slightly different spots to get the most vibrant sound from each note. The airstream pressure and where it is aimed, mostly toward the center, also affects the quality and pitch of the notes.....

  • Ok. That makes sense. And by the way, me and Dales video wont be up very soon. We want to practice ALOT so it sounds good. Its a pretty hard song though. Promise you wont laugh when you watch it?

  • I respect everyone's videos up here because I know how hard they are to put together! I look forward to watching it, whenever you put it up....take your time, and only put it up when you are comfortable with it!

  • Wise words. Thanks.

  • Hahaha, this was most entertaining! :D

  • Ferali- Glad that you found this video both interesting and entertaining. THE THREE TENDONS formed in November of 2000, and by February of 2001, after sending a video in, we were accepted onto this Show. We were so lucky!

  • The THREE TENDONS are the BOMB and perhaps the greatest novelty group of all time! Great post! -Handtrix

  • Pumpster- It was sure fun performing with the other two guys...It was surely one of the most unique musical groups! Thank you for your comment!!

  • lol! that is way cool! :) Thanks for sharing! Any other appearances on tv that we should know about? ;) hehehe

  • Mia- I think the problem is I can't put a URL on a comment. Google Ben Brenner, click on the first site that has the word Pavaroddy in the URL. There is an eight minute video collage of several of our TV appearances.
