  • It is amazing how I am transported back in time by watching these. I would never remember most of them on my own but watching this I instantly remember them all. Such great catchy little promos. Nick at Night was so great back in the day! I took so much for granted back when entertainment was still entertaining. What I would give to live it all over again.

  • I grew up on this in the early 90's. Looney tunes would end then it was Dobie Gillis, Dick Van Dyke, Dragnet, and the always classic Get Smart.

  • @tharock220 A Bewitched! I loved them all except for Dragnet.

  • @tharock220 You said it, I'm 29 now and I remember watching this lineup nite after nite. Even the shows in the late 90's were far better than the trash on television today. It's just crime drama and reality shows, sadly I think we've passed from the golden age into the decline of creativity and our empire as we know it.

  • Nick at Nite animated promos / Sesame Workshop

  • The shows that they play now are good but they really need to program it better. 3 fuckin hours of the nanny? you shitting me?!

  • shet

  • la putaaaaaamadreeeeeeee

  • So sad....now it seems like all they show is Roseanne and The Nanny. Blech. I want I Love Lucy and I Dream of Jeannie , Diff'rent Strokes, Family Ties, Happy Days etc...back...what happened to all of the good ones! :(

  • TV done right; you can say that again! Those were truly the days! :-)

  • This brought back great memories. I remember being in elementary school in '96 and watching these late at night waiting for my mom to come back from school.

  • if you need a taste of good tv dont cook tonight watch nick at nite!!!

    i love these old jingles

  • oh what a desert the tv dial place is

nick at nite is a tropical oasis

good tv refreshes you and me

    nick at nite

  • To keep it real I hated nick at nite back in the day!!!!

  • nick @ nite es el mejor quiero nick @ nite del 2011

  • me encanta nick @ nite quiero mas nick @ nite con tv land de 1989 a 1998

  • Im 24 I used to stay up during my summer vac. to watch nick at nite, i was about 6 or 7 when i started watching these.

  • @seramyu2005 You did a favor to yourself in doing so!

  • Also, I noticed a lot of these were from animators who did plenty of Sesame Street shorts.

  • I miss bumpers like these. Great variety, and a showcase of some great animators. Nowadays TV's trying too hard to be generic. Bring these days back.

  • Who made these bumps?

  • i should email nick @ nite and tell them to air these old promos during the shows that they show these days

  • Nick at nite is this old???

  • @fieryhand They were around since '85.

  • does nick at nite even still exist?

  • Yeah, but it's really lame now. The whole, retro thing is gone now. Nick at Nite is now like the watered down version of TLC filled with boring, "original programing" about married, sassy, middle aged white women and their boring lives.

  • I think I get the animators now: 0:10, 2:13 - ''Instant Relief'' & "Magician", by David Lubell 0:20, 7:22 - "Spelling Song" & "Say Hello", by JJ Sedelmaier 1:00, 4:19 - "Garden" & "Shopping", by Jane Aaron 1:10, 2:35 - "Signs" & "Logo-Stick", by Colossal Pictures 2:03, 4:07, 4:39 - "How-To", "Fruta Manzana" & "Debate in Congress" by Joey Ahlbum 4:28 - "TV Pleasure", by Marv Newland 5:09 - "Love Affair", by JD King 5:19 - "Moving", by Frank Mouris 5:38 - "Ski TV", by Charlex
  • @loveforlogos Lot of talented people on this!

  • Nick@Nite isn't Nick@Nite anymore.

  • @GabriellaGear I agree, Nick at Nite pretty well had it's funeral circa 2000, there was some pretty good stuff on in 2002 and 2003 but everything beyond that is pretty well crap.

  • i remember being bad and staying up late to watch this

  • @AwesomeAaron81 Probably the best thing that happened to you!

  • nick at nite sucks now

  • i love these bumpers!!! they r all so catchy!! i sing along with like all of em! (:

  • I miss Nick at Nite. :(

  • Holy Nostalgia! I miss the OLD Nick at Nite and the OLD Nickelodeon. Ever since the 90s ended, Nickelodeon died and went straight to hell.

  • jesus. i remember being a kid and watching all the old shows: mr ed, donna reed show, the dobie gillis show, honeymooners. i'm only 30 and i remember these. they bring me back to my childhood and always gives me a warm sensation. television will never be like this EVER again. enjoyed thoroughly!

  • @cjsdharma I know what you mean. I'm 32 and I remember viewing Nick at Nite's classic lineup from Jr. High in the early 90's all the way up to my mid high school years. Ahhh Nostalgia....and then...well it started sucking.

  • I miss the REAL Nick at Nite. The TV Land channel killed it, and then turned the gun on himself.

  • Kim the Kidder won!

  • Was that Cyndi Lauper singing in the promo from 3:57 to 4:07?

  • I just noticed the video quality is really high. How'd you manage that?

  • "I've made a personal decision to try better livin through television. but to make it right, I've gotta have Nick at nite!" (....and added to my favorites...) ; )

  • I would love for a Nick At Nite Retro channel to be made for Comcast so we can see all the old shows and these bumpers between shows

  • GOD, I MISS THESE DAYS!!! WAAAAAA.... :.-((

  • I'm 30 and feel old that's just wrong. Don't feel 30. I remember all these so well. Now they seem ancient. What happened to creative outllooks on things. I'm kinda pissed now...

  • @TheFlipped1 Welcome to the club.

  • I can watch these all day long..

23 and grew up on NIck at Nite... i remember almost everyone one of these..

  • 5:33 - 5:39 Telly Monster from Sesame Street

  • I am only 30 but I remember ALL of these because I used to watch nick with my mom when I was little, and I even loved all of those old shows!! Patty Duke, Dobie Gillis, Green Acres...people look at me weird when I mention these shows bc they have no idea what i'm talking about, It's a shame!!!

  • @complikati You had it best!

  • @complikati I'm 30 and I remember all of those, they were the best.

  • What year did these stop airing? Please Answer.

  • NO FATTY ASSES

  • 0:53 oAo She has a weird, yet cool body.

  • O_O These are amazing.

  • Wow what a time capsule, YouTube is incredible. Very much a trip to see something like this. It feels like something buried long ago that was never intended to be seen again. What makes it seem even more bizarre is that I actually remember all of these.

  • Wow what a time capsule, YouTube is incredible. Very much a trip to see something like this. It feels like something buried long ago that was never intended to be seen again.

  • Thank you for posting this. i remember some of the promos. The shows they used to have went to TV Land, but now even TV Land has shows that aren't really TV classics. Good grief. I wish Nick at Nite would go back to it's old format.

  • i vaguely remember any of these commercials, maybe i was too young

  • I almost feel like these old ads are mocking me, simply because nothing they say applies to TV these days. :(

  • i;d give anything for nick at nite to go back to what it was...

  • @uciguy2003 i actually like nick at nite now, but i miss teh awesome bumpers.

  • My alltime favorite N@N ID at 5:38 ... but most all were awesome!

  • The 2:35-2:45 segment has the bumper that sounds like Walk Like An Egyptian.

  • i wish these were on again

  • Now THAT'S the Nick at Nite I like to remember. =D

  • Wow. Many of these do NOT seem so old, but I know they are. How weird. lol

  • Yes! Awesome! I was singing along to every one of these even though I have not seen them for at least 15-17 years! Classic. What happened to the creativity for these bumpers?! No one has creativity anymore. Oh and Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite suck now.

  • B-O-O-M-E-R-A-N-G.....B-O-O-M-E...Boomerang For You! Better Living Through Cartoons.

  • Hello Out There From Cartoon Network, Why Don't You Join Us? 'Cause It's Crazy! It's Really Crazy! It's Boomerang!

  • goodbye out there from tv land because nick at nite is not the old one anymore!! (watch nick@nite for new tv) not the old one 'nick at nite'

  • the original promos were old school and cool and much like an MTV ad, same company after all.

  • 0:09-0:22 If Your Boss Is A Jerk, & You Get Home From Work, & You Feel Like A Chewavilladite, & It Seems To Beleaf, & It's Hard You Can Breef, & Goodness For Nick@Nite

  • The snake charmer promo was one of my favorites back in the day. I wonder why Nick at Nite stopped making these.

  • 0:12 was always my favorite! Thanks so much for these - and in such AMAZING quality!!!

  • wow I remember all these, thanks for posting :)

  • i love these stuff.. I hate the stupid shows they have on now. I don't really watch it.. I avoid it.. RIP Nick @ Nite you'll be dearly missed thumbs up if you agree with me

  • Damn, too bad they don't try to be creative with TV promos anymore. That's what you get with 50,000 channels though.

  • My favorite one of all time would almost have to be...

    Click 6:01.

  • I miss Nick At Nite! If only Nick @ Nite could go to classic Nick At Nite say on Satuyrday or Sunday nights. Fat chance, but man did I love Nick At Nite ever since they started back in '85.

  • This was when you could sit back and watch TV all night. Nick at Night just isn't the same anymore.

  • 4.39- I had that stuck in my head for 13 years! Speaker called for recess!!!! Recess!!! It's time for Nick at night!

  • i actually remember most of these coming on at 10ish when i was a kid in the 90's.

  • instead of showing classics nowadays...they show GEORGE LOPEZ and EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS? They should bring back the classics.

  • I wish Nick at Nite would try going back to the basics again.... this brings back great memories!!!! Patty Duke, Car 54, Donna Reed....etc etc...

  • Wow this has a lot I dont remmeber!! I wish Nick was like this today!

  • Nick at Nite is SO MUCH better than Nick@Nite.

  • Now THIS was Nick at Nite at it's best!!

  • @dgwaters close but no cupcake, it was at its best at 1989 through 1991. These are from 1994/1995 when it all started going too fast. I think someone bought the original owners.

  • 5:28 Hello out there from TV Land (TM), why don't you join us?

'Cause it's crazy. It's really crazy.

    It's Nick at Nite.

  • 0:11 my fav.

  • Thanks for this. I loved Nick at Nite back then and miss these musical bumpers. I can't stand what Nick at Nite has become.

  • Nick at Nite is more about modren classics that aren't on any more but were new when these Commercials were playing. I Remember All these promos They aired from 1994 to 1999. The channel Tv Land got it's name for these promos that said hello ther in TV Land.

  • That one at 3:05 has been embedded in my brain for years.

Wild as all hell hearing it again.

  • But they still has Rossanne and Full House

  • Nick at Nite now is no good! The shows on now aren't any good! People will learn nothing from these new icky shows! I want good tv back on!

  • Wow! Thanks for these great old promos!

  • TV Land, the channel is the only thing I can call "Nick at Nite" now, since normally they play classics.

  • THIS is what Nick @ Nite USED to be....heck even TVLAND!!! Most of the shows they show are practically BRAND NEW hardly considered TV Classics. As a preteen-teen in 1985, it made me want to learn more about classic tv shows of the 50's & 60's which worked...I'm still hooked on classic tv!!! Unfortunately, this generation will never enjoy THOSE shows.

  • @dh1173 Have you heard of ME TV? It brings back a lot of those old 50's-60's classics in a Nick at Nite fashion.

  • @spindalis79 No, I haven't!! But I'd love to see it or subscribe! Is it on cable? internet?

  • What happened to the old Nick at Nite? Nick at Nite went from good TV to BAAAADDD TV!!!!! I don't care about the shows that are on now...

  • I know what your talking about! Nick at nite seems sentseless without Mr. Ed & Mary tyler moore!

  • NAN used to be good. Now they have trash shows. George lopez sucks. It is played too much. I hate the marathons. It is played to death like fresh prince was. I dont miss that crap show either. EHC sucks as does malcolm. And The worst is glenn martin. This is the dumbest show ever.

  • Thanx for posting, i did not think i would ever see these again. I remember seeing most of these, when watching i love lucy, the munsters, and i dream of Jeanie.

  • :08 what the heck is coming out basket

  • my fave. jingle is: the girls want it the guys want it everynight all night they want it evry night all night they want

    gotta have it

    nick&nite

ofcourse i was too little to understand.

    4:48

  • Come to think of it, most of the animation reminds me of Sesame Street.

  • @SuperSpaceGirlTV

Because, one of the animators is Joey Ahlbum, who, I think, animated some segments on Sesame Street.

  • I enjoyed it indeed!! In fact, at this time, those Nick at Nite promos are now pre-sented with stereo sound. Wasn't that amazing?! Thank you very much for your generous support in classic stereo!!

  • i enjoyed it. i wished they would bring it back. i will sign the petition 4 it.

  • wow these bring back good memories of falling asleep late at night during my high school days to these. I agree the we should start a petition to bring this type of programming back to our favorite channel!!!! Just show me where to sign!

  • Thanks for posting these! Glad to know I'm not the only one who misses these cute little promos. What's happened to Nick at Nite? They've lost all their imagination AND their classic TV. If I wanted to see current shows like Everybody Hates Chris, I could watch any channel!

  • I totally agree!

  • I agree!

  • @elliottlover88 Nick at Nite has moved on and so has TvLand.

  • @elliottlover88 I agree!! I am only 30 but I remember ALL of these because I used to watch nick with my mom when I was little, and I even loved all of those old shows!! Patty Duke, Dobie Gillis, Green Acres...people look at me weird when I mention these shows bc they have no idea what i'm talking about, It's a shame!!!

  • @complikati You're not the only one! I'm only 22 but I grew up watching Nick at Nite with my mom and loved it. Dick Van Dyke, Donna Reed, Patty Duke, The Lucy Show... I could go on and on. Still a big fan of classic shows but I have to turn to DVDs and the internet to find it now. Most younger people don't get my appreciation of classic TV. And I might add, Nick at Nite is worse now than ever. Now it's nothing but endless blocks of My Wife and Kids, George Lopez, and The Nanny. -_-

  • @elliottlover88 - I remember there being an "original" show on Nick at Nite about a family from the 50's or something who end up living in the 90's, they had a remote that could change things in the house from black and white to color. I can't recall the title, but I remember the show and one ep where the family went to court over a broken 'bust' statue.

  • @WiiClassic2usb I used to watch that show too when i was a kid. It was called "Hi Honey, I'm Home!" and sadly it was canceled after a few episodes, but you can watch the pilot episode here on youtube.

  • @WiiClassic2usb I vaguely remember that - my mom said it was called Hi Honey I'm Home. I'd like to see that again!

  • @elliottlover88 I see what you mean in 2002-2003 The line up was brady bunch,alf,roseanne,cosby show,three's company,family ties,gillgand's island. ( I may have mispelled)

  • I was born in 1997 and from what I remember I only saw the good nick at nite from 2000 to 2002. I wish they would change it back.

  • I REALLY WISH Nick at Nite would use these, and play the good old shows! We should start petition

  • It brings back the memories.

  • You know you're getting old when the 1st run shows you watched as a kid have been on Nick at Nite for years. I was 13 when the Fresh Prince ended, and I think that's already had it's Nick at Nite run.

Anyway, Get Smart, Dragnet, Dick Van Dyke, etc I remember watching them from about 9 until I feel asleep when I was a kid. I don't know if they were that great or if I just want to be young again. I'm 26 so go figure.

  • plz reply when were these

    ?

  • I can recall perfectly there were from in between 1994-1999. I KNOW so because i always fell asleep every night watching it back in those days and... I STILL WANT IT BACK!!

  • i didnt know cuz i was born in 2000

  • I miss seeing those promos on television.

  • 3:26 to 3:36

looks like the KND creator did this one.

  • I wish I knew the name of all the bumpers.

  • what year it is

  • I saw those promos when I was little.

  • Man that brought back good memories.

  • MARV NEWLAND 3:26

  • There were several animated units (and "live action" houses) who produced these...unfortunately, that kind of creativity at "Nick At Nite" doesn't exist these days, as the channel became TOO profitable for Viacom to continue in that venue...or something.

  • Very creative!

  • Who animated them?

  • These "bumpers" randomly appeared just before the beginning of each half-hour show on the schedule....

  • Not just before, but after as well. By the way, on your last comment, these idents were used intact with the 1986 idents(with the guy or the girl, or the "married couple") who would set up their background, and the logo, and then.....something unusual would happen! Some of these also came out in 1991 as well.

  • This was during the 1987-'89 period, when the channel was in its "prime". Today...eh!

  • Great! You even have the one at 0:21! And I like that "Bonanza" parody for the Nick at Nite ident at 2:55.

  • I thought Nick @ Nite was more about nostalgia than quality programming.

  • These days it's about neither.

  • Nice quality.
