  • I picked up slot of ideas from your design. Thanks

  • wat kind of yields did u get

  • You ever going to use it? looking at it had to get old

  • my buckets were a dollar each and there black

  • @01spikyspider007 where did u find these buckets?

  • why did you go with black cover on your buckets

  • @sharonmarkham5 the plastic buckets still let a fair amount of light into them. The plastic helps reduce this, thus reducing your chance of algea.

  • vertical lighting is optimul with this system

this system is too powerful for horizontal lighting, might as well use ocean forrest soil IMO

also i think the buckets restrict th "dripline" of the roots

13 gal and 8 gal look the same width, tall plants dont really give more yield compared to plants thats roots are able to grow sideways furher...

  • @archuletajustin you're right on the vertical lighting but wrong on the container depth. when it comes to the plants i grow taller containers always do better than short squat containers due to the root system of said plant. You want to plant a spruce tree in a square dwc setup go ahead.

That being said this was a demo setup and i prefer the 8gal buckets for horizontal lighting setups; especially ones using less than 1k ballasts.

  • @opt1c420 It dpeneds do you want to grow tall or wide...I just got my new buckets today they are $32 each, for each plant ;).

  • i would like to build one of these if you could send me the plans please to baird_2009@yahoo.com thanks or even a parts list would work once again thanks

  • @mregulater cch20.com go from there if you want to diy but you won't save that much and you have to line up the cuts on the buckets just right

  • Its been awhile any more videos ?? Still wondering how big of air pump and water pump is being used ??

  • @ARTnSKIN For the 13gal setup i'm using a AP-40 airpump for the buckets and a dedicated ap-20 for the epicenter.... the waterpump is a pondmaster 500gph pump; it just says model 5 on the label but i recognize the brand.... to be honest this is more of a prototype 13gal setup than anything else; the real deal has blue, light proof, buckets and 3" pvc connectors... the connectors shown in this unit are the old 2" pvc.

More videos soon; the room is currently dedicated to genetic research ;)

  • @opt1c420 @opt1c420 right on bro thanks for the info !!!

So you built that setup your self, very nice!!

Looking forward to the up coming videos, any info you can share will be great learning the ways my self still.

  • @ARTnSKIN nope just assembled it; cch20.com; this was a tester with white buckets... they got the blue ones now

  • Might look into DIY in ICMAG, thanks for the advice.

  • what kinda of air pump and water pump do they run with that setup ??

  • the res should be painted black, with metal around it so heat doesnt gather and go into res is all i see neg. good job

  • Dam bro, room is all setup think you coverd all ends.

Only thing i was wondering is why you went with black over the buckets instead of white plastic or reflective material? Black will just get the buckets hot and will not help the lower branches to get light.

No comment on the music haha

  • Good shit real nice actually. Would like to see the babies in there.

  • I love that Corrido, The system looks awesome btw but pricey IMO. Your set Up is looking Clean.

  • @AmxKiller Thanks man; one of my favs as well. As far as the system goes it may seem expensive but when you actually start adding up the cost of the diy setups those connectors and fittings add up quick; you'd be surprised to say the least. I can tear this setup down in under 30mins with time to spare; clean it out super easy; and have it back together leak free in another 30mins. All i need is a rubber mallet and a spray bottle of soapy water. Try doing that with a diy setup.
