For this guy to come out of nowhere and fit so well..and really the whole album is a total masterpiece..and to win a grammy over what could be the greatest Beatle album.. is a real mind blower for me.
Have this on reel to reel. Got that and the player when stationed in Germany in 1970. Still have both today, but too much of a hassle to get it out and set it up. I have always liked Big Band Jazz, but bands with the rock/jazz fusion are right up there. BS&T, Chicago and Bill Chase are my favorites. Bill was taken way to soon. Thanks for posting this.
One of my favorites since 1983 when my Dad turned me on to B,S&T! My father was a Jazz trumpet player, and from the early 60's to the 80's he made his bread and butter with his bands. As a kid I grew up hearing the weekly rehearsals in either our basement, or, when Dad took me over other band members homes. Great times with all of Dad's musical friends. This Album I treasure! I found a sealed copy of this album along with Santana's first recording at a flea market, pre-Ebay days!

Fantastic song, in each instrument and every note.
Can you imagine this with some Janis Joplin's vocals added?
Thank you for upload.

Sure as the sun shines this is the shit. A smooth blend of blaring horns, wa-wa
guitar, drums, and the gritiest voice of all time David Clayton Thomas. WOW!
